**Introduce yourself!!!**

Hi,
I'm new to the Boards so not sure how to include pix etc but would love to be on your list!

I'm a single mom living in Idaho, USA with my 16 year old daughter. We've been to DL and WDW multiple times; Tokyo Disney once and are now looking forward to our first trip to DLP (my daughter's first trip to Europe) in May/June 2009.

We're already starting our research and would love to help others out if they have questions regarding the parks we've been to. I am a DVC member so hope to use points to stay at New York, New York hotel at DLP.

Thank you for starting this thread!

Hi, my name's Siobhan and I live in Ireland. Had my first trip to DLP in April with dh, ds(5) and dd (20 months).
We had such an amazing time, really can't wait to go back!
Planning next years trip already! :yay:

Hi everyone, don't think I've introduced myself properly before. Don't remember doing so anyway (will slowly read through everyone's introduction one day lol). I'm Alice (35), married to Peter and we live in Croydon, Surrey. We have 2 kids - Louise and Adam who will be 6 and 3 respectively later on in the year. Our 1st trip to DLRP was in Sept 06 - really enjoyed it then. Just had our 2nd trip last month and enjoyed it even more as the kids are that bit older, so can share in the excitement even more. Have already told hubby that I'd like to (or want to) go again, this time near Xmas, so that we can see the decorations etc. He didn't make any comment .... :lmao: He's not a huge Disney fan - he goes because he has to :rotfl:

I want to go to Florida for my 40th:woohoo: . So fingers crossed that he will say yes. Well, he can't say no really lol.

Welcome to you both. You have came to the right place for those who believe in Disney magic :disrocks:

Hi Everyone!

I keep going back and forth on this board but haven't actually introduced myself so I thought i'd say hello :goodvibes

My name is Eloise, i'm 34 and a new mum to my gorgeous little princess Matilda who is now 6 months :cloud9: My husband is Phil, he's 43 and it was always his dream to go to WDW so in 2005 we cancelled a holiday we had booked in Kenya (I had chosen that!) and we went to WDW. This wasn't my first choice for a holiday at all and couldn't see what the big deal was.

Needless to say we went back the year after that :rotfl: I LOVE LOVE LOVE Disney, I am what my husband lovingly refers to as a 'Disbot' :yay: I think sometimes it drives him a bit nuts but as I keep reminding him, he created this monster aka princess :cutie: He really loves Disney too but he's not obsessive compulsive like I am ;)

We haven't been to Disneyland Paris yet, the first trip we planned we cancelled to go to WDW, the second trip we planned we cancelled as I got pregnant. The third trip I was planning now for November has had to be cancelled too because we think it will just be too cold for Matilda and if its a wet holiday she'll just spend a lot of time in her pushchair with the rain cover on...how sad would that be??

So i'm suffering big time Disney withdrawal.

The good news is we are planning a big trip to DLP next year, staying nearby for a week or two in a camp/apartment holiday so we hope to visit a few times.

I've learned so much about DLP thanks to all of you and your help over the years - one day soon I will actually get to DLP and put all your advice to good use! :cool1:

Hey!

I've been on here for a couple of weeks, but haven't properly introduced myself yet!

My name is Victoria (but everyone calls me Torsie). I'm 23 and live in Whyteleafe in Surrey with my boyfriend Jack.

I've been to WDW when I was quite young, and DLRP a couple of times in my teens, staying at HNY and Sequoia Lodge. I also went to Disneyland CA while I was at University in LA. I love everything Disney, cry like a baby at every parade, and feel like it's one of my missions in life to make sure Jack sees the beauty in all things Disney.

I've wanted to take him to DLP for a couple of years, as we always have a short city break between our birthdays (24th may & 29th June) the last few years he's won with choices like Krakow and Marrakesh. But after a hideous bout of Moroccan e-coli last year, I'm finally getting to go to Disney!!

We are going July 6th-9th (later than our usual birthday trip but I wanted to hang on and see fantillusion!) and staying at Sequoia Lodge.

I'm also hoping to go to WDW for a week of two next summer on our way back from Vegas - but Jack wants to go to Mexico (another place I'm sure I'll get food poisoning!)

I've posted comments here and there but I read everything so really ought to introduce myself. I'm Penny (27) and live with my husband E (32, doesn't *do* the internet hence not putting his name on!) in Leeds. I'm a singer-songwriter and writer and massive Disney fanatic - especially the princesses, classic Disney animation, 1990s animation (hurray for The Little Mermaid, Beauty & The Beast etc) Pixar stuff (apart from Cars) and live action mixed with animation.

I was meant to go with my family to EuroDisney (as it was then) in 1992 for a day, during a short break in Paris, but the tickets were more expensive than my parents thought and they had to veto it. Since then I'd been dying to go and finally E and I went for the day during our Paris honeymoon in 2005. The last day of our honeymoon was the beginning of the Hallowe'en season, so we decided to go that day to get the full benefits of the decoration etc, despite it being a Saturday. It wasn't too busy, thankfully, but there was lots we had to miss and we didn't get into the Studio at all. E agreed that we should go back, so after a very tough year last year, we went in November to see the Christmas season before it got too busy, from Friday to Monday on the direct Eurostar. It was amazing and made me even more addicted than ever...

I don't think E will agree to go back to DLRP (maybe WDW) before we have kids, though he really enjoyed it, as he's not as much of a Disney nut as me. I shall have to live vicariously through others' reports...

Hi there! :goodvibes

You could live through others reports, or you could find a deal that was too good to ignore!! He he...! Its a naughty indulgence all these DLRP trips, but they're worth it!!

Welcome to the DIS!

Thanks Bob! Alas, I don't think we can afford to go anywhere outside the UK on holiday for the next few years, anyway. Unless the deal is free! I do enter all the competitions I see for Disney holidays...

Hi there!

Better late than never to introduce myself!

My name is Matt, I'm 21 and usually I live in the small town of Malton in North Yorkshire.

At the moment, however, I'm at the University of Huddersfield studying a music degree. I'll be entering my 3rd year in September.

Following my final year, I'll hopefully earn a place at the National Film and Television School on their composition for film course.

My chosen career is in film and TV music... that's one hell of a dream to aim towards, but if I stick at it I might just get there!

I've been to Disneyland Paris 3 times. Twice when I was about 10, and once last September. Going back ten years later was magical, and it was better than I ever remembered it!

Going again at the start of July and I can't wait!
