I know there is a thread related to booking rooms for customs...

Did all of you Intimates really book your room reservations before you confirmed your date with DFTW??? I am afraid if I do that and I don't get my first choice of date/time, I'll just need to cancel my previous reservation and start all over again anyway, so why not just wait to be sure I get my date first? Does that make sense? I definitely want a Friday at 10am (YCG!) and so if I don't get my first choice I'm hoping to move to the next week, Friday, which means totally changing any pre-arranged reservation!

Were you all just lucky, or cofident, or resigned to changing your ressies later???

Just curious...thank in advance!

We had our date "pencilled in" so we were pretty sure we were going to get it, but they can't officially book your date without the reservation confirmation number if I remember correctly. Someone correct me on that if my memory is escaping me (which I KNOW it is !). It is easy to switch your ressies though if you need to. HTH

Well, I guess I was all 3! My date was for January, which is not as busy a time as others, so I guess I was confident that I would get my date. However, I did go ahead and reserve my dates and if I couldn't get the wedding time I wanted, I would have just changed the ressie. HTH!:goodvibes

OK cool! But I am still confused. I know I am still just about 13 months out, but when I talked with Doreen last week, she didn't even say she was going to pencil me in...she said to call back on August 8th of this year...

Do you think I should ask her about getting penciled in? Thanks!!!!!!!!

I would definitely ask her about "penciling" you in. Although I booked my date at exactly 8 mos out, as we were undecided about a date until May...

Thanks Courtney, I think I may try to call again tomorrow...but if changing my ressies isn't a big deal, I won't worry too much I guess!!

I called in January and spoke to Amy. She pencilled us un for January 2008. At that time, I used Dreams Unlimited Travel to book my trip. When they contacted me to let me know that the 2008 prices had come out, I had to give them my reservation number before they would let me put down a deposit for the wedding.
