Intimates: after wedding dinner and why. vote!

i voted for citricos since they have a nice private room & the food is great. its also nice that you can walk around the grand floridian & beach area before &/or after and watch the fireworks in the distance at magic kingdom depending on the time.

i think it also depends on the mood your trying to set, ohanas is more casual but just as nice with its big tables & all you can eat fare.

I voted "other" b/c we had dinner at Palio's at the Swan and Dolphin Resort. We picked it b/c their menu had something for everyone while still being a nice restaurant. They also have an area big enough for a 10 person table that is private without being hidden away from the ambiance of the restaurant. It didn't hurt that our wedding was at the Yacht Club and we went on an Illuminations cruise later in the night, so everything was close to one another!

We opt'd for Ohanas for many reasons:

- Great food!
- Great Variety of Awesome Food!
- Family Fun!
- Served Buffet style ; so the great food just keeps coming!!!
- Reasonable cost; we hosted our 'dinner reception' for all of our guests and feed close to 20 folks for around $500.
- Games for the kids!
- Still had a semi-intimate feeling at night!
- Can see Wishes
- Includes dessert....
- FANTASTIC FOOD AND FAMILY FUN! YOU'LL LOVE IT!

We had our dinner at O'Hanas because I knew that my family loved it. The wedding day experience was however less than stellar and if I had to do it over again that is the one thing I would change. My experience however was not the norm. My family did enjoy the food.

Well, I would love to throw in my two cents, but alas, you are looking at a girl who is just over 30 days away from her wedding...AND HAS NO DINNER ARRANGEMENTS MADE! But I digress.

I honestly think any of the above choices are great. I think it all depends on the ambiance you and your guests would appreciate most. If you would rather keep it on a more formal note, or a more fun note. I would take travel time into consideration, as well as time of day/evening. Are you planning on going directly to dinner after the ceremony...will you be wearing your gown. All that stuff comes into play.

I voted other. I don't like the menu at any of those places. I don't like the decor of the Chef's Domain, so I didn't vote for that. I'd pick Victoria and Albert's if it was in the budget because you get AMAZING service and a custom meal made just for you. Plus, the food is beyond compare. A wedding is supposed to be a special, memorable event that's like no other. Why eat at some restaurant that's average when Disney has one of the best right there on site?

I cast my vote for Ohanas. Of the 10 people attending our vow renewal, 5 will be kids (3 of them ours), and it seems like O'hanas will be a fun time. (We've had breakfast there, but never dinner.) After dinner, we'll watch the lagoon show and fireworks from the Polynesian beach. Plus we're staying at the Polynesian so it will be convenient.

I did enlist the help of my coordinator in setting up the dinner reservations. I tried to make ADRs, but couldn't get the time I needed. Without much hope, I asked Juliana if she could help, and the next thing I knew, we were on the phone with the manager of Ohanas. He was VERY accomodating!

I voted 'other' as we're planning to go to 1900 Park Fare. I chose it for several reasons - it's casual and reasonably priced but you can have photo's in your wedding attire with characters! Also, we want to stay in the GF area as we are having our ceremony at the pavilion, cake / champagne at GF and after dinner we're taking the Wishes cruise.

If you were to ask me this question, I would without fail tell you to book yourself. When I called to check on my non existant ADR, the CM at DD told me that the manager of the establishment was the only person who could book/guarentee a group of my size (18) and she gave me the resturaunts direct number. I spoke directly with the manager, who went out of his way to try and help me. Alas to no avail.

My planner has made me dinnerless, of course that doesnt mean yours will. I would do it myself, and if I had problems, I would hit my coordinator with it.

Rehearsal Dinner at Narcoosee's
Ceremony at Sunset Pointe....all of our guests were not at ceremony...we did cocktails in the Poly..we had abt 25 people, did the Luau afterwards...we did a tropical theme all the way.............There were also 7 children, I did ADR's myself...it was our 2nd marriage, so we didnt go formal, and 4 of the kids were mine! We allowed there "input"..thats why we had a Familymoon! Jack Day was awesome, and included the kids in our ceremony as well!!
