Hi everyone, :wave2:

I'm beginning to plan my Disney wedding, and I already have a question I can't seem to find an answer for. My fiance and I's story began at Disneyland in Anaheim, and our dream is to have a Disney wedding in celebration of that. However, as far as we can tell, only WDW offers weddings under $10,000 (intimate). What we would like to know is, does DisneyLAND do intimate weddings? Or should we stick with our WDW plans? :confused3 We both currently live in Arizona, and so a CA wedding would be much more feasible than a FL wedding (by far!). But... we'll go to any length to make our Disney wedding dreams come true! Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks! :)

Hi...

to be honest, I'm not sure, but I think you are right. Right now (from what I know) DL just doesn't offer the smaller weddings.

Have you contacted them directly to ask for sure?

I have, and I was given a wee bit of the runaround. They seemed unwilling to discuss any details more than a year before the wedding date. Which I understand, but being a full-time college student, I'm trying to get everything figured out ASAP so that I can plan my school schedule accordingly (ie: student teaching). But... I won't stop trying to get some answers! Thanks for your advice! :)

I know...it seems so strange...but even WDW really won't talk to you until you are a year away. They will often send some info, and maybe pencil in a date (especially for customs at the Pavilion at WDW) but that's about it. Sometimes it takes more than one phone call.

With DL, I'm not sure how they work...I know it's different.

No matter what, good luck...and keep checking back, I think there are at least a couple of DL brides who post here.

No, unfortunately Disneyland only does Custom weddings. Minimum required expenditure is $8,000 for events Monday through Thursday, plus 21% service charge and 7.75% sales tax.

Thanks for your help, you two! :) It's a bummer, but hey... now we have a GREAT excuse to go to Walt Disney World! :cool1:
