I think i need some Valium but we wont go there! On a serious note, I am finding planning this wedding very stressful, i have three weeks to go and have barely spoke to my co-ordinator and when i do email her she doesn't answer any of my questions just replies with ' i am working on your wedding this week'. I understand that i am not their only client this year but i feel like i am pushed aside and i haven’t once spoke to her on the phone and planning my dream wedding isn't what i hoped it to be. I am not excited at all and wondering if they can actually pull it off on the day without me having a nervous breakdown!

Well that’s released my frustration now the question i wanted to ask was after our intimate i have booked 1900 Park Fare for 18 people and wondered if i could decorate the table slightly with wedding favours, place cards and a small centre piece? I know a few people have done this on here and just wondered if they contacted the restaurant staff and discussed this or if there was another way. Living in the UK i try not to ring the US unless i have to, as it is quite expensive.

Thanks

Aimee :bride:

Amiee,
Don't fret! I'm sure your wedding will be beautiful! I'm pretty sure you won't have a problem setting up a table or two with decorations. My mom is doing something very similar. (She's designed a centerpiece and other decorations for the tables for mine & DF's Intimate) From what I understand from my wedding planner, you have to have someone set them up yourself. They won't do if all by themselves b/c of the possibility of people saying "well it wasn't like that before I gave it to you!" But she did say that with all the nice people that will be setting up other stuff that day, they probably won't refuse to help and offer suggestions. As my wedding isn't until May, I can't say for sure, but this is what I know. Just wanted to offer any help I could. Even if it was just understanding! Good luck, I'm sure you won't need it! :goodvibes

Although i havent had my wedding yet, and i am having a custom. Im having my rehearsal dinner at Ohana's and have got little gifts for everyone and some palm tree/tropical confetti etc to go over the tables. When i was out there in May the manager there was more than helpful and advised me to pop the stuff into them earlier in the day and she would make sure it gets all set up for me!

You would be better off with the Cafe at the Grand. Park Fare is very nice, but it is a buffet, and always full of children and very noisy.

I had my pre-wedding dinner at 1900 Park Fare and we didn't do any decorating there, but we had our after wedding dinner at 'Ohana. We just showed up with our items for our guests...gift bags, etc before our reservations and told them we needed to decorate the table before they brought any food out and before we called the rest of our party to the table. It wasn't a problem at all and when we told them we were ready...they began to serve the food!

We had our Meal after the wedding at Park fare...and to be honest I think I made the wrong choice and it still bothers me.
Ok I wasn't wearing my wedding dress BUT dh and I were wearing our bride and grooms ears and when we booked the ressie we told them to note it was our wedding day.
We had 9 guests and were stuck in the corner in what must be the worst table in the restaurant. I was facing a wall throughout the meal :confused3

No one not once offered any congratulations or anything...the server did not ask about our ears...the characters nothing.
I was dissapointed..more so with the table. It just didn't feel special in any way.

That's awful, and on your wedding day? I'm so sorry to hear it.
