Hi everyone! I have kind of been lurking around the board for awhile. I am now scheduled for a February 1, 2007 intimate ceremony at the WP at 5 pm. I would like to have dinner for 20 afterwards. My first choice would be the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

I know there are quite a few of you that have done this. I talked to Disney Dining today. They said I can just make an ADR on my 180 day mark, and if I make it towards the first hour or last hour of seating, they should be able to have 2 tables for 10 near each other.

Does this sound about right? And usually what time is the last seating? How long did the entire intimate process take, in other words, what time should I plan to make reservations for dinner afterwards. Also I read that some of you actually contacted the manager of the restaurant. Is there any benefit to doing this - getting one larger table for everyone, etc?

Thank you so much!

YSH recommended we take the first reservation of the evening. We had a table of 11 at 5:30 pm and it was a fantastic meal. It's very difficult to get a big group together on a busy night since people like to linger and that may be a table they need for your group.

I was told this also. My intimate is January 11, 2007 at 5pm, Wedding Pavilion. I am trying to go to Ohana, and i think last seating there is around 9pm. I am guessing it will give us some time to hang out in the Tambu Lounge til dinner time.

We did our Rehearsal dinner at Ohana's, they didn’t have an issue with seating all 50 of us right next to each other (first seating). Just make sure you call as soon as you can. Also its always good to just call the restaurant it self (not the reservation line) the day of just to remind them a large group is coming

Make your ADR as soon as possible and then call the Yacht Club at 407-934-7000 and ask to be connected to the restaurant. When connected to the restaurant, ask to speak to the manager about setting up your dinner. Tell them that your are a there after your wedding.

They are usually very accommodating for brides. There are area that could provide semi-privacy in the restaurant for your group. I have some pictures.... but I cannot show them to you since I am not "allowed" to post links...

hi there
we are thinking of 1900 park fare or ohanas for dinner after our ceremony, there will be about 15 of us and i just wondered if anyone can answer a couple of my questions.
Can i wear my dress to 1900 pf / ohanas?
Can we make normal dinner reservations or do we have to pay extra as it will be after our wedding, if you get what i mean?
Does anyone prefer 1900 to ohanas or the other way around? We havent been to any as of yet but thought the kids would enjoy the characters!
Many thanks, i do appreciate it. Thank god for disboards!! :disrocks: party:

We are having our Intimate 'Reception' at 1900 Park Fare. There are 18 of us alltogether. You are allowed to wear your dress, my only advise would be to get someone else to get your food, being a buffet, there is not much food to move and you dont want any spillages!
You just make an ADR as normal.

Hope this helps
