What smell takes you back to your childhood?

Oddly enough the smell of Tar. They were roofing my elementary school when I was in first and second grades and whenever I smell that I immediately feel like I'm on the playground.

Do you have any Christmas ornaments that were on your parent's/family tree when you were a kid?

Yes, when I got married, my mom gave me the ornaments that I made when I was young that always hung on our tree every year. They bring back such memories and it just isn't Christmas until I have them hung on my own tree every year.

What three things are you the most thankful for this year?

Health in my DH and I's families
Moving back home and just "making it" in life so far as a married couple
Our new puppy, Jack

What are YOU most thankful for?

My beautiful children and dear husband and the fact that we are all healthy and happy.

How many people will you be getting together with for Thanksgiving?

Oy. Ok, depends on the health of our van. If it will make it we'll be going to 'my' family gathering on TG day which varies year to year from 20 to 50.

TG with DH's mom's gathering and will be 7-12 folks.

And TG with DH's dad's gathering while in the past was only him, his SO, my SIL and her family, DH & my family will this year be the same plus his SOs family. which will be cool cause I've only ever met SO's sister.

Do you like watching football on Thanksgiving (US slanted questions, eh)?

Watching football on Thanksgiving? What's that? Oh right, that's what DH and all the guys do!!! I'm always too busy running my mouth with relatives (when I'm not stuffing it with goodies!)
