It depends on the application. If you're building drawers, dove-tail. If you're putting together boards to make say...a tabletop, biscuits or dowels depending on the thickness. If you are putting a skirt around the bottom of the table (like a coffee or end table) mortise & tenon. I watch a lot of New Yankee Workshop & have been in love with Norm for many years!! DH used to have a Shopsmith - but we sold it when we downsized our home in 2003. It had all the neat toys!
