That's very odd. I worked at Lowe's over the summer (as a seasonal employee) and found out right away if I was offered the job or not. It took about two-ish weeks before I was actually 'working'-working because of all the paperwork and drug tests and such, but I knew my pay and expected hours right off the bat.
*shrug* I guess it's different from store-to-store.
I'm actually go back there again this summer, because they pay extremely well. I got $8.68/hr last summer and worked 20-25 hour weeks, and from past employee's experience, I can expect to get probably at least $9.50 the second summer. So as a poor college student, I love this job (pay and work time, not the actual job... lol)
