Interstate 95 in Volusia County, FL from Port Orange to Edgewater will remain closed until further notice. Many of the trees along the interstate are unstable because the brush fires burned out their root systems and forestry officials fear they could fall into the highway.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol website, State Road 520 is open from S.R. 528 to S.R. 524. Also US 1 is open to go north/south.

Thanks for posting. I was just looking for some updates on 95 as we'll be travelling that on Sat and I'd have no idea what alternative route to take. :confused3

This is south of where you'll get off onto I-4. It will have no impact on those coming from the North. Those traveling up 95 from the south can use the FL Tpke as an alternative.

That is so great to know. I'm stressing enough about all the last minute details, I don't want to stress about finding another way too.
I hope there is some rain soon, get some relief for the people who live there, I feel bad.
