Internship cast members reporting to WDW

Does anyone know if you are going to work during a school semester at WDW and have to report, say, on 10 January, would they give you a place to stay on 9 January? Thanks.

Nope! I can't remember the exact dates of my CP but my mom and I drove down from MA and we stayed at a hotel the night before check-in.

Another thing you may want to check on is a return flight (if you need one) when the program is over. My daughter is there now and her program ends Jan. 2nd and we can't get her a flight home until the 5th for less than $1000.

So she will hang out at AKL for three days and come home on the 5th for $159.

You have to check in at like 8:00 AM so you should be there the day before.

You are talking about the College Program right?

I don't remember what time check in was. I can't remember if you were given a specific window of time to show up or if it was open for the whole day. That information should be in your paperwork once you get it so that you can plan your flight down. I do know that many people flew in that day so it is possible.

Congrats! It was a blast! One piece of advice from me ... do not get to involved (ie. relationship) with a local. It really took me away from the program aspect of it and while I loved my time down there I didn't build the friendships or memories from the programs as I wish I did. Of course the relationship didn't last so I would have been better of just hanging out with other program kids and not the locals!! Just my FYI ...

DD did the CP 3 years ago..she flew in the day of...got there in the afternoon and checked in. I don't remember her having a specific time..as long as she was there that day?

My son (just did this past Spring) flew in the day before and was so happy he did. He had "met" lots of kids on facebook before going, and they had arranged a meet at downtown disney the night before. So going in, he knew alot of kids already. Also, it gave him a rested nights sleep before the first long few days, he got up and cabbed it over from Pop Century, very easy. Have a blast, he loved every minute of it (did Great Movie Ride, still doing it in fact, just finished the Halloween weekend going "seasonal").

It's been 8 years since I did it, but I remember checking in during the afternoon. I drove down around 9 that morning and arrived in Orlando around 3 or 3:30 in the afternoon. I was VERY lucky upon checking in and getting Chatham Square. I met a friend online and we both were in the same building. Have fun. I'm sorry I couldn't finish the program, but the CP isn't made for someone with a family. I did enjoy the short time I was there though. I was in Tomorrowland and got to work 4 different rides...it was a blast!!!!!!!!!!!
