Internet @ the Poly--Can I watch ESPN3?

Our favorite football team will be in a playoff game while we are on our Disney vacation. The game will not be broadcast on TV. It will be carried on ESPN3, which is ESPN's internet broadcast channel. The catch is that ESPN3 is not available through all internet service providers.

Does anyone know if you can get ESPN3 through the wired or wireless networks at the Poly, or do you know what company Disney works with to provide the wired and/or wireless connection at the resort? Failing that, is there any chance we could pick it up at the ESPN zone?

Thanks to anyone who can help!

If Disney's internet doesn't "have" ESPN3 you have the option to select your home internet provider and put your userid/password on the ESPN3 site. So as long as your home carrier has access to ESPN3 and you know your userid/password you'll be fine.

Go Griz!!

You'd think since Disney owns ESPN, their internet would have ESPN3.

Disney doesn't own the internet service. It is being provided by a third party.

But you think their internet service would provide all their owned services. Even if it is a third party. Disney shouldn't have to pay themself to view ESPN3. Because that is what it comes down to.

Well, then, there's a great suggestion, WDW -- put ESPN3 on a big screen at the ESPN Club in the Boardwalk... that would make it a unique venue!

Now the only problem is getting consensus on which game to show! :cheer2:

My concern would be if the internet is fast enough to allow streaming efficiently. If it's not fast enough, it will keep buffering.
