Just FYI - we just switched our stay from the RPR garden view - rate right now is $235 something for Portofino Garden View at $241.47 - stay 4 nights and get 20% off. (our stay is July 10-19). Not a great savings, but the nice thing is that it is an eligible rate for Loews 1st privileges. (Now, if they ever offer decent APH rates for RPR - we will switch back).
But since we are Loews Platinum, we got the suite upgrade for the $241. Be careful though. When I called 1-800- BEASTAR to book the rate, they told me that since I was not booking over the internet, I couldn't get the Loews Upgrade. They insisted - after putting me on hold numerous times to consult with supervisors - that it was NOT a Loews Benefit Eligible rate. So, of course, I didn't book my vacation with them. I promptly called Loews First and asked if it was a Eligible Rate since it was available to everybody. They told me yes, but I had to book online and then call the front desk of the Portofino right after with my reservation number - they made sure I understood the FRONT Desk and not the Universal Reservations number, and have my upgrade added to my reservation.
Did that, and it all worked out great. Booked, called the front desk, and they promptly upgraded my reservation to a suite. And then added our second room (for family travelling with us) as a connecting room to the other side of the suite.
So, if you are staying at least 4 nights and want a Loews Eligible rate, the Portofino is offering the Internet Special.
BTW - didn't see it offered for RPR and didn't check for the HRH.
