Internet Question

I leave for VWL next Saturday

I am taking classes for my MBA and due to my misinterpretation of the class schedule, I'll have to do homework while at Disney

I know that there is a $9.95 charge for high speed internet access (in room), I don't plan on doing alot of homework, just enough to "squeak by" so I don't want to pay for 24 hours.

My question is does VWL have any hot spots that I can use? I don't think that I have the capability of dial up. I have the modem connection, but I don't have a dial up service provider.

Congrats on the MBA! You will be so glad that you took the plunge.

As for internet access, I'm not real sure about the particulars. I know there is a $10 / day charge for dial up.

However DO check on using the business center at either Wilderness Lodge or Contemporary Resort.

(I know Contemporary has a business center, and its just as easy to get to Contemporary as it is to MK and you can take the monorail to MK or Epcot. - Of course a business center at WL would be better.)

Anyway the rates may be better for what you are wanting to do. I'm not sure, but please check.

You can also consider trying a dilaup service like Netzero - which still offers free internet in the Orlando area (I'd get it set up in advance of the trip on your laptop). Anohther option is Budget Dialup - a low cost prepaid internet service. They also have good local connection at WDW as well as 1-800 service for areas without local access.

While at WDW be sure to find a true local access number (most of the Orlando numbers are local as well as Reedy Creek - but many Kissimmee numbers are long distance ). You can find a list of local prefixes in the room phone directory. Long distance calls have obnoxious surcharges.

Otherwise, you'll need to pay to use a business center or pay the $9.95 for broadband or WiFi at the Disney resorts.
