Internet Cafe.....

Hi all you Dis Freaks...(like me)!
On the Internet Cafe......for those of you that have used it on the ships.....how do they charge, by the minute?

Charges run in two ways.

First I don't remember all the rates...

You can either go for so many cents a minute,

Unlimited use for the weeklong cruises at $89.

Not sure how much for the 3 or 4 day.

I know it is .75 cents per minute, and I believe it is $39.99(unlimited) for the 3 and 4 day cruises.

I think the 39.99 is better as you don't realize how long it takes for webisites to open etc and before you know it your per minute bill is greater than 40 bucks.

I'm proof of that, I didn't buy the unlimited package on my 7 day cruise because I was "TRYING" to wean myself away from the computer for a week. That lasted all of two days, and before you knew it my internet tab was over $100.00 ouch!!! Next time I'm getting the unlimited package, because I know I can't stay away from the Internet Cafe, I have no willpower.

.75 x 30 minutes x 6 days = 135..

I did the math on our first day of our first cruise and always get the unlimited package.

A half hour can go by faster than you can know there.

I know Mark, and I was even keeping track of my minutes after each usage. I carried a little tablet with me in my PassPorter, when I reached the 120 minute mark, I thought I could stop. I think I wound up with about 140 minutes of use, the time does go by "rather quickly."

I too tried to wean myself...and it worked pretty good.....well, it would really be DD that needs weaning.....

There is a time...I think Saturday night(on the 7 night) that you can have a hour of time free. There is also 5 free minutes on another day. They charge you for the emails you send...but the time is free......check your navs...........

Do they offer wireless connection in the Internet Cafe? I have a laptop with a wireless card and would prefer to use it to send/surf.
