I remember it being mentioned that the way people access the internet in their rooms is to attach the cable to a router to get wireless internet access rather than be attached to the in room cable.

What I'm wondering is exactly what kind of router???
I have been looking briefly through stores and there are many types.

I don't plan to take my laptop but thought a router could be used maybe to allow my iphone to connect to their internet???????
I don't want to spend a ton of money but I am happy to spend a bit as the access would be free and I can probably use it at home as well. (current set up doesn't call for it but it could be useful in the future)

Thanks:thumbsup2

I used an Airport Express as a router with my laptop. It is very small and easy to transport. But once I got my iPhone I just used 3G and not wi-fi to connect. The DVC internet requires you to sign on every time you want to use it, a real nuisance. I found 3G to be very fast and no need to worry about signing in. And it is so handy to use the iPhone while in the parks! Check out the WDW Dining app!

3G is great in theory...and very good quality at home...
But internationally....yeah I'm not paying those fees...
(I'm from Australia)

So back to the router idea........any suggestions???????????
