Ok, my honey made the leap today, the leap to laptop land. She in just a few short days will have her first laptop. It's going to have wireless internet built into it. We want to be able to check our email, so that it doesn't get horribly out of control while we are away. Can anyone give me an idea of how much it will cost to go online while we stay at CSR in December? Is there a difference in what the WIFI rate would be vs the dial-up rate? Is dial-up or broadband even an option? Just curious. TIA Maggie

Hi speed is an option.
In the rooms it's a cable modem set up $9.95 for 24 hours.
In public areas you can wifi... same rate. (NOTE: You have to pay seperately for each)

High Speed Internet Access is available at Coronado Springs. The price is $4.95 per hour or $9.95 for 24-contiguous hours charged to the room account. Bring your own cable but if you forget, the card on the desk claims that housekeeping has some to borrow! Technical support is available via your room phone by dialing 56.

Wi-Fi is also available to Guests staying at CSR!!! Guests with Wi-Fi enabled laptop computers or PDA's will be able to access the Internet from the common areas at CSR. Smart City is the vendor providing this service and 24-hour technical support for those Guests who need it. Smart City will bill the Guest using a secure credit card transaction via the on-screen Internet connection. Requirements: Requires a wireless interface card (WIC), available for purchase in the resort's business center. Price: $4.99 for the first 60 minutes or $9.95 for 24 contiguous hours. Coronado Springs areas include the Main Lobby, Convention Center hallway, the Dig Site (Feature Pool), Francisco's.

Thank you so much for the answer. I had to search for it today, but I was glad to find it! I appreciate the information. Maggie

Be sure to buy a laptop cable lock to secure your laptop in your room. They run $20-30.

Thank you! I had not thought of this, but then again, I didn't buy it. lol I will tell Gabby that we need to look for one. We do plan on locking it in the safe in the room at CSR when we are not there. Maggie

It probably won't fit in the safe. That's why you need the lock. None of my laptops have ever fit in a Disney safe.
