Internet access at HHI

Is there someplace where I can access the internet at HHI? Either at the resort or is there someplace on the Island (we have a car)?

There is no access at the resort unless you have a laptop. There is a dataport on every resort phone to allow for local dialup service.

You can go to the local library for access. There may be some other places offering business center services.

HH has limited access to some internet providers. If you use a laptop, make sure there is truly local access- otherwise the long distance charges can really add up.

As an island guest you can sign up for a temporary library computer user card. They have about 12 computer and you check in at the desk. You get one hour on the computer, and sometimes there is a small wait period, but you can read newspapers or magazines while you wait. They do not have the floppy drives working, so everything you do must be done with a browser. You can get printouts for five or ten cents each.

Does anyone know if there is high-speed internet access avail anywhere on the island?? I assume the access from the rooms at the resort are not high-speed...
