Internet Access at Disney

We are coming down...our first time to the Mouse House...next week and will be staying at CBR. They have internet access for a fee...does anyone know how much it is?

Or do you know where we can get free internet access? We will not have a car so we are limited to where disney transportation can take us.

The only reason we need access (trust me, I want to be far away from any kind of computer while on vacation) is that my DH is taking a Statistics class this summer. His prof changed the midterm exam...it will be available on line the week we are on vacation. He only has a two hour time frame to take the exam (which is why paying for access may be the way to go).

Thanks.

the price is $ 9.95 for a 24 hr period ( the clock starts when you first sine on )and they tell you how much time you have left every time you log on and when you time is allmost up ,or if your a DVC member or are staying on DVC points its free

Do you have a data plan on your cell phone? My DH just figured out how to use my cell phone data plan as a modem for my laptop and that will get me pretty inexpensive internet access (I think our data plan is $3/month or something ridiculously cheap like that).

On the other hand, if I needed reliable internet to do an exam....I'd be forking out the $9.95 to ensure I had the access right when I needed it.

This is known as 'tethering'. Be very careful when using your cell phone as a tether device. Most, if not all, cell phone data plans severely penalize you financially if they find out you are tethering without a 'tether plan'. Of course, they charge more for that plan.

If you wish to tether, check with your carrier first.

Since this is a one time need, I would fork over the $9.95.
