International Gateway Opening Time?

I've very excited about my first stay at the Boardwalk. I was thinking about how close I'll be to Epcot and was wondering. What time does the International Gateway open? The World Showcase section of Epcot does not open untill 11am. Does that mean that IG will not open until 11am? I would hate to think that I would have to take a bus all the way around to the front gate to get in before 11am. What about Early Entry/Surprise Mornings? Can I get in IG on those mornings?

There is no bus from the BW, BC or YC you must either walk or take the Ferry. The ferry takes you to the entrance at the International gate way. So the entrance opens before the WC opens, it opens when FW does. You walk from WC to FW, the entrances to WS are roped off.

So does that mean you walk through England and Canada, even though they are not yet open?

Yes, you walk through England/Great Britain and Canada to get to FW. The pathway to France (and then after Canada, the pathway to Mexico) is roped off and there are CMs stationed along the way to make sure you "find your way" to FW. They don't seem to mind if you take your time, though! It is a peaceful and relaxing walk. Also, a great time to take pictures if you want some without crowds/other people in the background.

You're going to love the convenience of staying at the BWV! Enjoy the trip!

Shhh, this is my favorite time of day in WS. Last time I entered WS at 9:15, then sat on a bench in UK while I looked over my maps (that I always carry). I think that next time I go, I'll bring a book and my morning coffee so I can sit longer!
