International Gateway experts please!

We will be entering Epcot from the Beach Club via the International Gateway. Are there ticket windows just like on the other side of Epcot? I have never entered this way but we are just spending 2 days at Epcot and need single day tickets. I want to make sure we can buy them from the International Gateway side.

I love entering from the International Gateway. It's smaller, more quiet, and definately less crowded. You can walk from BC or take the boat. We like to stroll along on the sidewalk that runs along the canal. Have a great time!

if you are planning to spend two days there, be sure to buy your second day ticket when you buy your first day ticket and you will get a discount on a "bounce back" ticket...

Everytime we've used it there is only one window open. Ironically there is always a family buying and activating AP's in front of us. However, the convience of that entrance still can't be beat.

Your post doesn't say but if you are staying at the Beach Club, the front desk can help you with tickets so you can avoid the ticket booth at the international Gateway. The International Gateway is a great way to enter EPCOT. It will open the same time the main gate opens, however the World Showcase is closed and you must walk to the front of the park. You will be able to get to the Test Track and or Mission Space about the same time the Front gate crowd gets there if you hurry. Get a fast pass for TT or MS and then just get on line for whichever one you don't have a Fast Pass for. That way you should be able to get right on the attractions that you have a Fast Pass for when you finish your first ride.

We stay at the BWV and always use the INternatioanl entrance. Most of the time they have in the morning two people working at the ticket office. Later on during the day it seems they cut it down to one. We were just there a couple of weeks ago and we had our tickets activated and it took no time.
We also use the walkway. It is great. One of those off the beaten trap things that most people either don't know about or just don't do it. I wish they had some benches there to sit. I would love to sit there and listen to the music and watch the boats. It is so quiet and sererne.

What I like best about entering here in the morning as was mentioned WS is closed, but you get to walk through England and Canada with no one there. It is really neat. Just you and no hordes of people. You can walk through at your own pace. They do not rush you.

One of my favorite things to do at WDW is to walk from YC to the International Gateway and go under the bridge to the Boardwalk. I love this area and I also wish they had benches there where I could just sit and hang out.

I also agree about being able to walk through Canada and England with no one around. Although none of the stores are open, it is great to explore the area without crowds all around.

Can you walk from the BC and enter through the International Gateway to go to the Princess Breakfast at Norway? OR would that be just to long of a walk? If so, can you take the boat from the Beach Club and not have to walk so far?

Yes you can walk. It is a very short walk to the International Gateway from the BC. Go out the back doors of BC towards the lake and walk along the brick walkway by the cannal. You can ride the boat but it will take much longer than walking. If you have a PS your name will be on a list to allow you to go to Norway (or any other event that is before the opening of the gate like the Segway tour). Otherwise they will not let you into the Park before scheduled opening. Its a very relaxed way to get into EPCOT and its one of the advantages of staying at the BC or YC Swan Dolphin or BW resorts.

If you are staying at the BC, it is a longer walk to get to the boat dock than to Epcot. The boat dock is in the middle of the YC.

FYI, since they don't even let people through baggage check before the official opening, there is no way you will get to TT or MS before the people at the front gate. Those guests are already at the rope by SE (gone through security and ticket turnstyle.

One of my favorite things to do at WDW is to walk from YC to the International Gateway and go under the bridge to the Boardwalk. I love this area and I also wish they had benches there where I could just sit and hang out.

No - I mean under the bridge. As you walk from YC/BC to Epcot or the Boardwalk, you can go up the hill, turn right to go to Boardwalk or keep going straight to get to Epcot. However, you can also take a little side path which goes under the bridge to the Boardwalk.

It is very relaxing on this path - no one is ever there and they playing soothing music over some hidden loudspeakers. I just love this area.

The side path that goes under the bridge (you're talking about the one where you keep to your right as you approach the bridge) just takes you to Epcot without having to walk up the hill to the bridge and back down again. You can't go to the Baordwalk from under the bridge. You would be crossing over the water at the same height as the Friendship boats.

What it does is elimate the hill. For one who has asmtha like myself is it great. That is one of the hills that really knocks the breath out of me, so by going on this path when we are returning back to our hotel I don't have to walk up a steep hill.

It is a really pleasant walk. I gues we shouldkeep our mouth shyt on this as more people will be using it.

We have had a slight micommunication here owing to my imprecise writing. I originally wrote that when going from YC to the Int'l Gateway, I like going "under the bridge to the Boardwalk." What I meant was you can walk under the "bridge that goes to the Boardwalk;" I did not mean you could walk under that bridge and, thereby, get to the Boardwalk. Sorry for the confusion!

And, I'll say it again, I do like taking the path that goes under that bridge.
