Looking for Hotels in this area. Can you tell me where you stayed and if you liked it or not. We are looking for cheap, but not nasty. LOL! I also would like a pool. I stayed in this area twice years ago. Once at a fairfield, whiich was fair, and I can't remember the other one, but it was much nicer. I am hoping to tlak DH into a Florida or CA trip this year, so looking to see how cheap I can make it.
So anyways. Can you tell me where you have stayed and what you liked or disliked about it.

Have been to several different hotels on International Drive. Last one was Fairfield Inn on Canada Drive just off International Drive near Pirates Dinner Show. This was quieter, with a lovely warm pool, free breakfast and beds to die for. It gets a very high rating on tripadvisor too.

Depends what you want and which part of International Drive you want to be in.

Convention area of International drive is prettier and has some nice hotels which can be more expensive than the other end.

Wet N Wild area of International drive has some that are OK, but it is a bit noisier at weekends. I liked the Best Western Movieland due to size of pool and that I could walk to Wet N Wild, Walgreens, Sizzler, Ponderosa, Wendy's and Kentucky Chicken.

I stayed at the Sheraton Studio City last August and we really liked it. I got it on Hotwire for about $60/night. I limited my area to Universal Studios. I took the 3* one and it was the Sheraton. I've used Hotwire a lot and have never been disappointed in the hotels I gotten. I do make sure to choose at least a 3*.
