International College Program

My DD23 participated in the International College Program last year. She was a CM in the Haunted Mansion and it was truly a dream come true for this 'little' girl that had fallen in love with the Magic Kingdom some 22 years earlier!

One of the many blessings of being there, was the wonderful friends that she made from all over and I thought I would include a link here of a really wonderful tribute that a dear friend she made from Ireland put heart and soul into making. You can see that Disney has also stolen his heart.

If anyone is considering doing this program, this should give a glimpse into, how magical and life changing the whole experience can be.

It brought tears to my eyes that's for sure!

For some reason I wasn't able to watch the link. It just went straight to the google video search page. I don't know why.

I do have some questions about the international college program though. I am going to be down there for the Fall Advantage program and I think it would be very cool to be able to get to know some of the international students (especially considering that 1/3 of my degree is international studies). Do they stay in Chatham and Vista like we do? Do they get to participate in the same events that we do? And I had been assuming that all the international people worked in the World Showcase. Anyway, that's all I have (for now!). Thanks! Sorry to bombard you with questions!

The international CMs stay in The Commons, which is right around the corner from Chatham. Not all international CMs work at Epcot, they're scattered throughout the resort. I don't know much about the programs and events, since I didn't go to them, but I'm almost positive that they participate in the things at Vista and Chatham.

I applied for the international college program for summer 2008 a few weeks ago and am waiting for the company to get back to me about an interview!

I'm going out on the ICP on 7th October, we have been told we could be in Chatham, vista way, the commons or the treehouses - so iof you want to meet us internationals it should be to hard - feel free to PM me if you want!
