I'm baaaaaaack!

Had the most awesome time visiting..got to meet Shayna and spend some time together, she is delightful Bonnie Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet Brynna Marjorie We don't 'do' RRC but we did look around for her and she was nowhere to be seen. Likely inside the ride when we visited and I wasn't going there When I went into HM I couldn't even find Shanan so we had to go back about 3x before she surfaced!!!

The apartments are certainly 'humble' as you thought too Bonnie....Shanan's roomies are very dirty thus so is the apt! Not at all nice...but they have settles in nicely all the same and having a great time! I met Kevin too and tried to hook up with his Mom as his parents were there as well and he wanted us to meet but it just didn't happen. The days flew by sadly and though we went from morning till night, we still didn't fit in all we had aspired to do. We ate at our fave places, Boma, Le Cellier, California Grill, went to Jellyrolls for the first time which is great fun..spent a day at Cocoa Beach which also was really nice though we all got a little 'crisp'!! We shopped Florida Mall, Mall at Millennia, the Outlet mall and shopped some more!!!! Did MGM, Epcot, MK, Downtown Disney and also enjoyed the resort. But of course most of all, it was great to see my 'baby' and saying goodbye was hard all over again yesterday. My friend Brenda began the waterworks and that was it! Now I am back to that lost soul feeling...going back in 5 weeks will be hard too as I know bringing her home will be very sad..for her and Shayna feels the same. They really so have a little pixie dust in their blood!!! Shayna looks very well Bonnie and getting that nice Florida glow!
I bet you are counting down now??? When are you off Marjorie? August some time if I recall correctly?

Well, of course..I have come home to lots of laundry as well as what I have collected!! So..just wanted to say Hi and tell you as usual, it was magical!

Glad to hear you had a great trip Karen! I asked Brynna if she'd seen you or even Shanan lately, but I guess with the shifts she was working, she never managed to catch up. About the only time she was seeing anyone was their midnite forays to Wendy's!

Looking forward to meeting the girls, I plan on hunting them down! Also, Kevin sounds like a real dear, love his blog. Brynna's been conversing with him on MSN since December too so I was glad they met up to be good friends.

Yup, we're off in 2 weeks, woohoo! Wow, the time has been flying by. Time to start getting our gear together and planning some of our time with Brynna. She took 3 days off and I'm sure will have another day or two off as well. I know she plans on taking us to the outlet malls our first day there! I said after a nap, please and thank you, since we're catching a red-eye. That's always supposing we can get into our room at POR early.

Had a great weekend in the Okanagan at my DH's family reunion. It wasn't dreaded at all, I really like his family. Lots of visiting, food and sunshine. Even spent 3 hours tubing down a lazy river on innertubes, was much fun.

I think Brynna was working when Shanan was off all but one day? Maybe the day we went to Cocoa Beach..Kevin is sooooo cute. What a sweet guy and a lot of fun too. We ran into him at midnight in Walgreens one night along with a girl from England and he was like a little Leprechaun bouncing all over! They're all great kids with lots of good homour so they are having many laughs. Didn't get to partake in the Wendy's runs (thank goodness lol) I made Shanan have lots of steak while I was there to boost her red meat intake! hahaha..

You must be getting sooo excited! The countdown begins!! We go back Aug 22 and will bring Shanan home kicking and screaming! I was reading over on the College threads about white passes that the CP CM's also get, do you or Bonnie know anything about them? Not that we're likely to need them..?

Sounds like your weekend was good Marjorie..we'll go to a water park in August so I love to go (okay stay) in the lazy river there..just my speed!!

Well...back to the laundry, I think someone is putting it in as fast as I am doing it!!!

Yes, getting very excited now that we're down to 13 sleeps. Gotta check my ADRs as I made them awhile back. Had Brynna book us for the Keys to the Kingdom tour the day before we leave for home. I believe it's about 5 hours long, I'm looking forward to checking out the utilidors myself! Since Brynna is a CM, she gets 50% off this tour for guests as well.

It's stinking hot here right now, it's about 30 inside my house and it's after 10 pm. How warm is it back in Ontario? I guess we're in the midst of a heat wave but I see it as conditioning myself for WDW!

Miss reading Shanan's blog, she hasn't updated it in ever so long. But I guess that's cause Mom was hanging around huh?

How's Shayna doing Bonnie? Brynna hasn't seen either of the girls in awhile, I guess it's much busier at the parks in July than it was June as the kids don't seem to have as much time off these days.

It has been very hot here too Marjorie and right now it is pouring!!! I am trying to stall my dog from her walk..yuck Lots of big hair days for me! But as you said, it is getting you prepped for the steamy Florida heat! My friend Brenda remarked how sometimes the air is so hot and so still that there just isn't a breath to be had. I asked Shanan if she ever gets tired of the heat and she said nope! Really has been converted.

I was checking Shanan's blog yesterday too looking for some news! I guess we did keep her pretty busy during our stay and the day we left she went into 8 days straight of working and I think only has one day off this coming week too...when they need them, they sure do work them!

I have done the Keys to the Kingdom tour...it's very good. I think we've actually done all the tours now and began with that one so maybe at 50% off it's time to do it again!!! Sure will miss these perks!! Brynna is there longer than Shayna and Shanan isn't she? Shanan was mentioning that she wants to do the Dolphin Swim in the Living Seas as they get that at 50% off too...

Well, time for my java fix and hopefully ther doggie won't see me pass where she's snoozing or I am done! Big AND wet hair! I have to go out looking for new outside lights today...I hate that, too much choice and I can never decide.

Did Shayna tell you Bonnie about our trip to the Outlet Mall? Those girls have their black belt in shopping! There are some good shops there and we all did a little damage! They are both eyeing a Burberry trench coat but I suggested they wait a couple of weeks to see if the price reduces further..

My DD (Shanan) works in the HM and her last day there will be Aug 23rd I believe. Likely the same for Shayna who is in Toon Town Fair (right Bonnie??) mostly on the roller coaster I believe though also in Mickey/Minnies house?? Brynna ..at Rock N' Roller Coaster in MGM is there later I think...maybe till early September? Marjorie, am I right...sort of?

I am sure the girls would be delighted to be recognized!

Hey Debbie. Yes, my DD Brynna is at RRC until September 1st. She's got medium length red hair, I'm sure you won't miss her!

Yup ladies, Brynna had also mentioned the dolphin swim but I'm not sure if she's still that interested. I suppose if it was shopping or dolphins, shopping might win out over the fishies!

It's been hellish the last couple of days, but we're so proud of Shayna and her determination to set this right. She didn't deserve to be sent home and hopefully it will be smooth sailing from now on!

She couldn't wait to get back to MK to see her managers and coworkers!

Hopefully all of the 'excitement' is over now and the girls can get back to working hard and having fun! I cannot imagine how hard it was on Shayna and the others involved. My heart broke for her...but it's all good now!

Nothing terribly exciting here to report in...same hot, muggy weather and I am tired of BIG hair! Geeesh...we are 'supposed' to be getting new lawn laid tomorrow so hope that works out allright..it's raining out there now so could be too soggy.

How many sleeps now Marjorie? I bet you can't wait!!!

I still haven't booked my August resort..torn betwen PO/FQ where I sooo often stay and the Caribbean Beach Resort? I really want to keep the $$ down, what with the renovations going on here and I am going on a Mediterranean cruise in Oct! Just came up the day before I left for WDW and I really didn't want to go (timing is just not great) but I got talked into it by a girl in the office soooooo we are going! Now I need to roll some pennies! lol

Where are you staying Marjorie?

I cannot believe that the summer is beginning to wind down and that soon the girls will be home and gone again Too much of this going stuff!

Well...hope you girls are enjoying your evening and that you are finally getting some rest Bonnie. It was a tough time and it has resolved as it should have! Whew.......

Hey ladies. Enjoying a balmy evening here out west. The heat has subsided somewhat, I think we were only at 27 today. Doesn't sound like we're going to get rain anytime soon which is fine for me but then the lawns are starting to brown up, typical of the approach of August!

Eight more sleeps! Yes, looking forward to getting away. My week off in May for a cruise seems so long ago, I guess that's what happens when one works 6 days a week! I need a break!

We're actually staying at a new resort for us, POR. Hoping it will prove to be a restful environment as I'm determined not to be on my feet the entire time we're at WDW. Early to the parks, rest time/pool time in the afternoon and back to the parks for the evening. At least it sounds good on paper!

We very much enjoyed CBR, it was our first resort ever and it was so pretty. Now I'm bound and determined to try a different resort everytime we go.

I think I have done all of the Resorts except The Swan and Dolphin which we actually walked to that night after going to Jellyrolls and they are very pretty. Not so Disney-like in feel...but they look awfully nice. Well located too..

Wow, only 8 more to go! I am sure Brynna is looking forward to seeing you!! Is the whole family going? Sounds like a good plan Marjorie to relax and enjoy the resort in the afternoon. Too many times we come home from Disney and feel like we need a vacation! Too busy!!

Well..I can't sleep...I wasn't feeling great today so I napped this afternoon and now here I am! And I have to be up early to drop my other daughter at her babysitting job... ...the worse thing is when I get up at this time I nibble...not good

I will be happy to see my hubby get some time off to see Shanan in August..he's been working too hard of late. He loves the water parks so I am sure we'll waste some time there! Suits me..I am sure in those last couple of days Shanan will want to spend time with her friends as well before bidding them farewell...my other daughter is still digging in her heels about not coming so I guess it will just be Terry and I going. She is trying to talk me into a weekend in NYC before I go..just Mum and Daughter...but I really don't much fancy the heat of the city in August.

Well...guess I will take another run at some sleep!!

Good morning ladies!

And it is a good morning!

We are slowly feeling 'back to normal' around here. Since we got the call from Shayna at 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, it has been quite a rollercoaster ride!

Thankfully, she was able to get herself reinstated and was back to work last night. She was a little nervous and didn't know how people would be with her, but she briefly said that it was fine and she's just so glad to be back working in 'her' kingdom! lol

There are now 3 girls in the apartment, with a 4th who is technically registered but is actually living with some guy in another apartment, so they each have their own room for the time being. Should be interesting to see how long before newbies start moving in.

I'm so grateful she was able to get things turned around. It would have been so sad to see her leave that way. It's going to be hard enough for our girls to leave when they're done!

How's Shayna doing Bonnie? I am sure it's as if it all never happened?! Glad that's all over and she is back to loving her Kingdom!!!! I think these girls have really become one with that place!

How's Brynna Marjorie? Not many sleeps at all now!! How nice it will be for you to see Brynna and catch up!!

Shanan has been working such a lot and has been feeling poorly these past few days...poor kid...she told me she has no voice today so that should be interesting in the 'stretching room' where she has to tell them to drag their wretched bodies..yada yada yada...I think she gets a day off Tuesday. Hope she makes it!! Her roomies are not so considerate it seems and she gets little rest when she is off...grrrrr

Well...nothing terribly exciting this weekend in the works. We had new sod laid Thursday so basically it's water and more water! Trying to decide what to do or where to go for dinner tonight...decisions...as long as I don't have to cook it!!!!
