internal corridors question???

Hey there. I'm coming over to D/L from Australia in march. We are staying at the HoJo which I have heard has internal corridors????What on earth does that mean??? I have never heard of this in Australia......could someone enlighten me !!!!! Also, what do you think the crowds will be like in the first week of march at D/L? Is it usually a really busy time?

Internal corridors just means you enter your room from the indoors, basically it's a hallway. Some Hojo's are what we call here in the states 'motels'. At motels, you enter your room from an outside corridor. Motels are usually cheaper and don't have too many amenities.

Early March should be pretty dead, especially during the week, because the kids are still in school. My mom's a teacher in SoCal & she's not on Spring Break until later, I think it's the week before Easter. It used to be that the public schools were off the week before Easter & the Catholic schools were off the week after Easter.

Having internal corridors means you enter a building ( usually with a card key in the evening) hallway, and then enter your room. This makes for a feeling extra security and many places then take advantage and have balconies on the rooms.

the majority of walkable motels on Harbor Blvd, are just that "Motels" ( motor lodges was the old term) where you can park right close to your door and access your room form the parking lot.
