Hello fellow campers. this will be my family's first trip to the Fort. We have been to Disney three times before and stayed at the resorts. My question is how often do the internal buses run? We are gonna be there first week in October if that makes a difference. I ask because I was curious if I needed to rent a golf cart or if we could just rely on the bus. We have a full hook up reserved so we will be down in that one little corner pretty far from the marina and the settlement post. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

:welcome: The buses run approx. every 20 min. - sometimes less! We have never had any issues relying on the bus service - although, as with anything there are occasional glitches! You will enjoy the Fort - :)

We took bikes and rode them everywhere, so that's another option.

Bikes would be fun but with a 4 and 2 year old and my 65+ year old mother in law it is not really feasible for us. Our 4 year old does love her bike but she is slow as molasses on the thing.

Oh gotcha! This was the first year my kids were really old enough to enjoy riding bikes for transportation at 9 and 12. The buses should get you around just fine.

I'm a Type A, anal person who stresses when things don't go to schedule.

That said, we rely on the buses, and I've survived just fine. ;) YMMV.

I am similar and I find the buses to work just fine. I also like that I have never been when they are crowded as a lot of people rely on golf carts.

1) There is no publically published schedule for buses.
2) However, there really is an unpublished driver schedule.
3) Each bus driver has a schedule printed (usually on the visor above the windshield).
4) It details EXACTLY when he/she is supposed to be at various locations on their route - for the entire shift.
5) But, these are not published nor made public, in case they are late there are no guest complaints.
6) So, plan upon a bus about every 20-minutes, and you will be safe, and not stressed.
