hey guys im new to the site and recently decieded i wanted to try to get a posistion for hopefully the 2008 summer programs. I was just wondering how to prepare, is it hard to get accepted and jsut overall what the entire process is like. Thanks

Id also like to hear more about this. I want to work at the animal kingdom someday. Im an animal biology/wildlife fish conservation major and want to know if theres any certain internships that would be helpful. Do you have to do the cp first? Ive been hesitant about the CP in florida since im from northern california, but DL doesn't have the same opportunities. Any information or advice is more than appreciated.

i would love to know more about interships as im in the same boat as CelticBelle, Florida is far away from Northern California!! But if there are animal biology/ zoology opportunity in CP or PI i would love to. Can anyone maybe name some of the positions available for bio/zoology majors?

The internships involving animals are PIs. And most of them require you to do the CP first.

thanks for the info. I really want to work with disney and do these programs, but I have so much to do. Im engaged and wouldn't want to leave my fiance and with my school ill probably take 6 years to graduate. Id be a super duper senior.

Most require it- the Animal Science ones do not.

If it is required, it will be featured in the job listing.

The website said to look at disneycareers.com under internships, but they werent listed. It was just like a job search and I could find nothing for an animal internship. If you find something else with more information could you pass it on?

I know i wont be of much help, but i can try. If you goto the site for CP and click pesentation schedule then on the left hand side, there is a menu. One of the options is Majors. If you click that and then click Bio Sci, it will take you to a page saying if you do CP it can lead to an internship with... and it lists about 8 or so internship possibilities such as marine mammals, animal programs, plant science...

Yup. There are currently none listed because they have all been filled for the fall. The Spring PIs should be up in the fall.

Take you soon to be husand with you!!! You can both apply and live in your own place! It was an amazing experience and I would do it again. I had a job and took a leave of absence. I wish my DH coud of done it with me.

If you don't do the CP it will be hard to get an internship.
