intermittent modem issues? AGH!!!

Hey y'all, just wanted to tell you that if you don't see me around the dis or vmk for a day or 2 (or 3) it is because of my modem. Was on the phone with verizon for an hour last night, and we determined my modem is working intermittently and is starting to fry. Yep, its only 1 month old lol. So, new modem is on the way. It did not work at all from about 4 pm yesterday right through 1am. I got up, turned it back on and tried it this morning, and here i am. lol

So, until the new one gets here, i may or may not be around depending on how much this old one wants to cooperate. Just didnt want anyone to think we just took off and left lol. I know it isnt really a vmk thing, but i want sure where to post it.

Don't you hate when brand new stuff just up and breaks on you?

I am unfortunately experiencing similar problems the hotel I am assigned to has installed a wireless network with spotty coverage and the connection drops in and out between 1Mbps and 56Mbps but it is usually at around 11-24 but VMK tends to freeze or crash a lot. Today I have been unable to log in for 45 minutes because of this. Two more weeks till I get back to a real connection.
