Because it was going to save me over $250, on Friday I booked a week-long stay in August through Travelocity. My confirmation email included a 12-digit numerical "trip ID" code as well as a 7-digit alpha "confirmation" code.

Within MDE, neither code would allow me to link my reservation. I figured that perhaps Travelocity had been issued the familiar WDW confirmation number (12 digit beginning 43...), but opts not to use it in their email. Yesterday, after an hour on the phone w/ Travelocity, they couldn't provide the code I was looking for (I was told to call back during the work-week and they would call AKL on my behalf). Figuring I could do this on my own, when I called AKL just a while ago the CM said that any reservation booked using a provider other than WD Travel could not be linked in MDW.

My tickets and dining reservations are already linked, and it would have been nice to add the resort stay, but not really a big deal. Just wanted to pass this information along. I'd previously seen where some Disers were able to link their resort stay using one of the Travelocity-issued codes.

I've never seen anyone able to link to MDE using a Travelocity code - I've only seen that they've gotten the Disney number from Travelocity in order to link. But, the websites been a total cluster *uknowwhat* lately so it could be on Disney's end if people have done it prior.

Hopefully you get it on Monday with minimal wait times and get it all linked together.

Hmmm, that could put a wrinkle in any onsite +10 advantage for FP+.

I'm hoping the CM was misinformed, and that the Travelocity-issued number will work within MDE in a few days. After all, it was late Friday when I booked. Maybe it takes a few days for the parties to process a 2nd party booking such as this. We'll see.

When I called magical express to add my flight info for a trip I booked with Orbitz back in May I was told it didn't matter which code I had. I had to wait a "few" days for it (reservation) to populate in the system. They also said I could then use either code or just my last name( for future reference).

I am thinking that the res, just wasn't showing up in the system yet. Try in a few days :confused3

It took a few days for my reservation with Orbutz until it showed up for me as well. Then all was good :thumbsup2

If the 12 digit number was the Disney conf# then it's just the website being floppy.

But I hadn't heard that the online TAs were providing that up front. Most of the time people have to call and get the right employee who knows how to get the Disney number.

As for ME, it's easiest to use the website all I those sites refer you to. It's on the page that gives the resort info, down towards the bottom, an you just use the company's code. Very easy.

After waiting a few days, I contacted Travelocity for my WDW-issued confirmation codes (the ones beginning 43xxx...). The very helpful phone rep called both the POP desk and then then the AKL desk to obtain both codes. They worked flawlessly to link my stay at each resort within MDE.

She did admit that this was new to her, and that it was "good to learn something new". You'd think that the company would do enough Disney bookings to justify a process for proactively getting an individual the MDE-compatible code. Still, hats off to their customer service in this instance.
