Interesting Observation about Summer Rates at DVC

I pulled up the summer rates at the Disneyworld.com site and noticed that the week we are there (7/4-11), the lowest rates that week at the DVC resorts are 7/3 and 7/4. Non-DVC resort rates are higher that weekend then the rest of the week. Must be because members do not use their points on weekends that they have extra inventory in the DVC resorts.

Your observation is correct! This is why DVC came up with the new point reallocation for 2010-it should be interesting to see how things turn out and how members' vacation patterns change.
