Interesting observation about our cars

When DH's car was getting to the point that we needed to replace it (though in his case we had a bigger window than we did in mine), it happened right around his birthday.

Now my car dies on me and I get to have a new car. My birthday's next week.

Hmmmmmmm.

(And other than trying to park it 'cause it's bigger than my Taurus, I really like my new Regal -- tonight will be the test. Tonight I drive into downtown to go to class)

Funny you should say that.
Today is DS's bday and we plan to get a new car on Saturday(or at least order 1). The last time we got a new car, we ordered it on 12/26 and my birthday is 12/28. Hmmmmm???

HHMMMM....My birthday was last week, and this week I am getting a new car. What's up with that?

Hey my B-Day is in March....Anyone wanna buy me a car for my B-day....:jester:

I know what you mean though. When the last car was totalled it was just before DH's B-day.

The thing I hate is, now do you get a birthday present, or does your spouse say, Happy Birthday, I got you a car. I hate that. I avoid large purchases around my b-day. I love birthdays, and I love getting stuff. I hate getting something I need as a present. You know, by a frig, Happy Birthday. We came home from a cruise once on my 39th birthday. I got nothing else. Stephen said I got a cruise. I said that they all got one too then, so no birthday presents this year. That was the last time he did that! ;) I am such a child  .

Happy Birthday, Rajah, and enjoy that new car!

Rajah! You are venturing within THE LOOP?????

tc -- This will be counted as part of my birthday present (I don't mind since I wanted a Regal anyway. I *would* have minded had the car I ended up with been something I didn't want), but a couple of weeks ago I got a sewing machine during the sales, and I'm considering *that* my *real* birthday present. It's just early because that's when the sale was on. :)

And, we're still going out to dinner, so I don't feel slighted. :D

Kath -- yes, I am, believe it or not! That tells you how badly I want to participate in this program. I'm willing to venture inside the loop (and y'all know how much I hate doing that) in order to attend.

I just take the less-dangerous (to me) way in. The beltway to 288 to a couple of neighborhood streets to the University. I *don't* and *won't* do 45 in, even though that's actually faster. But I do take 45 home since DH and I caravan home (DH works at that university). But, the traffic isn't nearly as bad at 9-10pm (or 11p-12a if we go to dinner first) as it is most of the rest of the time during the day.
