Interesting new perk for shareholders...

The way I have read it, it is only the shareholder who will benefit but I guess until it starts rolling out it is hard to know for sure.

To be fair though, it wouldn't be much of a fastpass if they started rolling out to every shareholder plus their partners and families ;). Plus, if you read it does say limited numbers which makes me think not every shareholder will get one...

I think it will massively benefit those going in high summer/season. Those going when it is quieter might not need it anyway, but if it's free and it's a perk it is worth trying :goodvibes.

Well, I posted my forms today. So I am hoping that I get an email through next week with my shareholder info (is that how it works, before your actual card arrives?) so that I will have access to this is if it comes out soon afterwards.

One fastpass would be fine for us, as there are rides that I want to go on that hubby isn't bothered about!

hi I have just opened my Halifax account to buy shares Can I just ask before I purchase

I have been reading all the tread and cant decide wether its worth buying the 20 shares for £85 and keeping them forever or just buying 5 for £20 and paying the 30 annual fee and just having them for 2 years.

We are going to DLP twice in Oct and then March but the year after we will are going Florida so wont be going that year.

What do you think

Personally, I would always opt for buying the 20 shares and not having the pay the admin fees... by the time you renew and pay more fees (you may go again in the future if not next year) then you will eventually have paid MORE than if you just bought the 20 shares upfront.

Also, from a stock market perspective - these are true active shares and the value does increase/decrease like any other share. I bought my shares at around €4.19 a few years back (I think they are worth less now... that's the nature of the beast), but then a few months after I bought them, the shares shot up to €8.39. I would have kicked myself if I waited to buy my shares and then saw that I would have had to pay €8.39 per share

I'm not sure if you knew this already or not, but also you can use your Shareholder card in Disney Stores in the UK too... it will give you 10 percent discount off your shopping. So even if you're not planning on visiting DLP next year - the Disney Store discount could be perk?

At the end of the day - it's all about personal means and needs. Whatever decision you make will be the right one for you :cutie:

This sounds amazing - almost too good to be true! Doesn't sound like we will all manage to benefit (though fingers crossed that we do), can't wait to hear more about it.
I'm also excited about the new book mentioned in the latest newsletter.

Has anyone had their email yet?

I'm just worried that I miss it and it's directed to 'spam'

Don't worry, nothing in my inbox, suspect I shall miss this offer - though we're going in the quietest part of April so I assume we won't be needing it anyway!

I'll just enjoy the usual discounts and the lovely Salon Mickey : )
