Interesting... magic bands

Do we know if regular magic bands would work in DL? I have no desire for my wrist to light up during a show. I just want to not have to get my phone out and my app loaded for every scan. I’d rather use my existing magic band than buy another light up one.

IIRC Disney has said that 'current' MBs will work at DL but may not be 'fully functional', but they haven't specified just which versions of MB will work and what functions they will/won't have.

**Also same boat. We've done 21 trips to WDW and DL Tokyo but our first to DL this fall. I have come to depend on the convenience of MBs.

June 17th-21st but Disney coming soon is not always very soon.

Those of you who don't carry a wallet have been lucky. We've had a couple times when Magic Band system went down and you needed a credit card.

I rarely carry around a wallet anymore around home either. I have NFC on my phone for tap to pay which I use almost exclusively.

Honestly if their whole CC machine would go down I would be out of luck anyway I never carry cash.

The first time it happened to us was before Apple Pay. Now I generally carry DL and Disney GCs. But I don't use Magic Band to pay anyway.
At home, there are not enough places that take Apple Pay.

I always carry at least one CC in a Vera zip ID 'just in case'. I normally try to use cash to keep on budget anyway. I take in my daily 'allowance' and when it's gone, it's gone. It's too hard to try and keep a 'mental balance' going of what I've charged.
