Interesting FP happening

Today DD6 went to go on Mission Space with her grandma using FP. Grandma chickened out after they had tapped in both times. So they went through FP line but didn't ride.
I then took DD6 on the ride while grandma sat with the little ones. We went through the FP line thinking hers would have a problem but if we explained the cm would let her through. However, her FP turned green without any problems at all checkpoints.
Is this normal? It's like she used 2 FP.

Reminds me of that Kenny the Pirate exploit all over again, if this turns out to be true. Unfortunately even if it is true I'm sure it will be closed rather quickly. On a side note can you imagine the CM's face who is manning the FP+ Mickey head check points as they see you going through the fast pass lane to ride TSMM 6 times in an hour

Is this a ride where you scan your wrist band twice? If so and you scanned the magic band only at the first station then your magic band will not list as being used.

Soarin' is one example. If you scan, get into the line, then realize you need to exit the line for a rest room break, you have NOT used your fastpass yet. Not until you check in at the second station.

Aaa whoops! I just read where you did say she scanned twice at the ride. Lol

Could you imagine. You only get 3 FASTPASSES but can use it unlimited times during your one hour window. Think could possibly be enough to make some people extremely happy?

Don't get too excited - we rode Living with the Land via FP in January afterwards (still during our window) I asked the person if I could scan our MB again to see what would happen. Turned "blue" and on her screen it said something like already used or already redeemed.

Sounds like the system was just experiencing another glitch at that time.

Something like "losing track of (not filing) recent scans."

There was probably a 20 minute time between the first time she went through with grandma and the time she went through with me. I thought it was odd. The cm at the second checkpoint even mentioned seeing her before.

Would be nice if it allowed looping. That was not our intention. She just wanted to ride and was upset that grandma took the chicken exit and she didn't get to ride.

The system was certainly built to recognize/record when a guest has used a FP+ reservation. It sounds like the OP had what Bob Ross used to call a "happy accident"...

It's also possible that the CM saw you had a FP+ and granted access to the little one before anybody noticed it starting to go blue. The second checkpoint would come up as green then after the first checkpoint being approved.
