On Monday, my dh and dd were going through the fast pass lane for Splash Mountain and someone in the stand-by line said "Wow, looks like fast pass is the way to go." My husband stopped to talk with him and it turns out that the guy in the stand-by line was under the impression that only Disney Resort guests could use it. Does Disney give information about Fast Pass out when they sell tickets to day guests so that they know they can use it? Seems like a lot of people are waiting in long lines because they don't realize they don't have to!

I believe they have info on the fastpass on the park maps. They do that system at Universal so I guessing that's where they got the idea.

It does say FP on the theme park maps next to the rides that use them. I was there last week and when you unfolded the park map on the back it gave very detailed instuctions on how to use the fastpass system. I also did alot of research before I left and knew all about fastpass. I will admit that I was amazed at the number of people who were not taking advantage of them.

Some people just won't read what is put in front of them and will decide that they can't use it. Then they will complain about it. Since Universal is for resorts only, I guess alot of people think Disney is the same.

Some people think you have to pay for it. I've had people ask me how much they cost.

When I was there last week, the wait time for Big Thunder was 40 minutes. The fastpass time was 40 or 50 minutes away. Didn't make sense not to use fastpass. We got fastpasses then went and saw Hall of Presidents, then came back.

On-site guests at USF/IOA don't need a pass. Just their resort ID, and they get to walk right on. I am not sure if they go in through a side/ back door? I didnt splurge for one of the resorts when I vacationed there. If I had, I could have cut my time of 4 days at USF / IOA down to 2 :thumbsup2
