Interesting Extra Wording

Here's something I found interesting on the DVC member site, with all the discussion on the DIS boards about "devaluing" memberships, renting/trading, etc.

They have a link on the member site to information on the upcoming price increase at Aulani. In bold print is this statement:

An ownership interest should only be used for personal use and enjoyment, should be based upon its value as a vacation experience and should not be for the purpose of acquiring an income or appreciating investment.

Do you think DVC has found it necessary to put this fact out there in print beacause of complaints about the prices at resale?

Legal disclaimers with similar wording have been in the DVC documents since the beginning (1991). Maybe DVC has found a need to re-emphasize that concept even in their print advertising.
