Interesting Alamo quote experience

So I got a quote for a car from San Francisco to LAX for 8 days with Alamo for January. Price around $300 USD. Then I signed up for Alamo insider and got another quote (thinking it would be 5% cheaper). Nope - twice the price at almost $700!.

Thinking made a mistake I did it again - same answer both times. Needless to say I booked without being an 'insider'.

Now I know this is a Disney board but thought I would mention it as it pays to try different things.

Rental car websites can be crazy. I was checking national yesterday for August and the prices are still crazy high. I took all codes off and only used a coupon and the price was $100 less......

I checked all over the internet for our recent trip. With codes, without codes..... and Budget came out best for us as well.
