Interesting 7 Month Shuffle this Morning

We are headed to WDW on October 1 for my wife's 40th. We had an interesting booking experience this morning. We had SSR booked at 11 months (unnecessary I know). At any rate this morning at 8:00a we first grabbed a resort view studio at BLT. We looked a couple of minutes later and had a resort view studio at RIV booked. Then about 5 minutes later my wife looked and we got a BCV studio. That's where she really wanted to stay but we didn't anticipate availability opening up there and certainly didn't anticipate getting 3 of the more difficult studios to book in a 10 minute window.

I too was booking this morning albeit for an 11 month reservation, since February only has 28 days I was a bit apprehensive because the 11 month & 7 month windows for 7 days - 1/29/26, 1/30/26, 1/31/26, 2/1/26, 9/29/25, 9/30/25, & 10/1/25 - all opened today, so I’m not surprised there was a lot of 7 month shuffling happening.

Yep, that was my hope going in. I knew nobody could grab the 29th or 30th of September. We stayed at BCV for the first time during Christmas / New Years week this year and loved it (don't ask how we managed to get that within the 7 mond window) so are happy to get back there in October. Our other DVC stay between now and then is 8 nights at VGC, which we also snagged at 7 months.
