Hi all!

We're non-DVC members, but are certainly looking forward to buying in the future! We just got back from vacation in the wee hours of Friday morning, but are already planning an October trip  We've already got our room on hold. :rolleyes1 This October trip is likely the one we attend a DVC meeting as we're gonig for the golf tournament, but our APs will have expired. Becuase of other vacation plans, it's senseless to renew them at that time.

We are both rather interested in staying at the Hilton Head resort for a long weekend this summer. Does anyone know how many points (approximately) it would be for a non-holiday weekend? We're still working on getting the plans firmed up. Is anyone familiar with the resort? We'd like a taste of the DVC and a vacation... Disney is the first choice, but SC is a bit closer :p

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you!
xoxo

Hate to rain on a parade, but likely HHI is booked solid for the summer, with waitlists. For a summer vacation your best bet right now is WDW. Vero might be an option, you don't hear about it being sold out like you do HH.

I can't say it surprises me... we're not really familiar with it at all, but were just interested in the possibility. We were talking about going to Myrtle Beach and this came up as a possible alternative. We'll see what (if) anything comes of it. from our end, we'd like it to!

Well travelocity had some rooms available July 20- July 23...

studio $299.
1 bed $380.
2 bed $420.

don't forget 10% tax + resort fees....

so it may still be possible... just expensive....

Summers are very busy at HH. There may be some weekend nights available, but otherwise rooms are at a premium.

From June 11 thru August 27 point costs for a Studio are 13/27/40 for weeknites/Friday/Saturday; for a 1BR they are 29/52/77 and 2BRs are 33/66/99. There are only 21 Studios and 21 1BR villas and there won't be many of those even on a weekend.

If you can find a cash rate thru an online service, that may be your best option unless you can find a member trying to rent an existing reservation.

Good luck. The resort is wonderful with lots of activities available.

Enjoy!
