alright, hey everyone! my name is jordan and i'll be entering college in september of this year. i know i'm not eligible my first semester but the second semester of my freshman year and on is fair game. i have a few questions.

1. how hard is it to be accepted? my love for disney is ridiculous. i've been 13 times in my short 18 years of life. i know the place like the back of my hand and i think i have a lot to offer in any position. my major is travel and hospitality, and all that jazz.

2. will being from a community college affect my chances of being picked? i see community colleges in near by mass on the list of places they have seminars and such but nothing in rhode island! does rhode island just fail like this?

my dad is being a geek about this and is not digging at all but i do have funds for school from an inheritance (valued at arounnnd 17,000) so money isn't the issue here, it's his youngest child leaving the nest first, haha.

so shine some light in to this subject with me so i know what i'm getting myself in to!

1. It usually isn't too hard to be accepted. However, popularity for the CP is growing. So it may not be as easy. It all depends.

2. No. It doesn't matter that you are from a CC.

1. Right now, the College Program is receiving the highest amount of applications ever. With the addition of a new housing complex in Orlando, and the expansion of the DisneyLand College Program, they are accepting more applicants than ever before. However, there are also a lot of qualified students that are turned away simply because of capacity. The best advice is to apply early.

2. Attending a community college does not lessen your chance of acceptance. Disney is looking for qualified and highly motivated students with a compassion for Disney. You sound like a great candidate. Have your parents watch the video at disneycollegeprogram.com to learn more! Good luck! :thumbsup2

Hey man welcome! I'm in the same boat as you! I'll be applying for Fall 2010. I was originally going to be applying for Spring, but my parents wanted me to wait a year before applying.

I'll be entering college in the fall too. I have been to Disney roughly 15 times. I can't remember exactly. Maybe less. So welcome to the Dis!

with all of you applying you are lessening my chances of getting in! :rotfl2: but anyway, i'm really hoping this pans out and i get in to it, it'll be amazing

Also, I don't know how far away it is, but there's also live presentations at Central CT State Univ. too! When the time comes, of course.

driving to ct, and ma are not usually an issue! i'll probably check out one of those presentations when the time is right. my brother went to one many years ago at CCRI but never followed through with it (he's 24 now). he's interested in doing the international program when he gets back in school.

my poor poor father

Yay, more Fall 2010 people! :)
I'm graduating college May 2010, and plan to do the fall adv right after... take a year off before heading to grad school, eep.

Great! I plan to do the program too! Is it too early for me to start a Fall/FA 2010 thread?

In fact, here it is!

Let's all talk about the program there - so when it comes time to apply, we all know each other!

Also, you should all join the Facebook group.

Hey I might either do spring 2010 or fall 2010 too, so exciting! I got accepted for fall 2009 but I might wait a little longer.

Good Luck Ya'll!! Disney has not even come to my school yet this semester which is surprising.

Hey Jordan, my name is Jordyn :rotfl:

I can answer about the geeky parent haha.
I'm 18 almost 19 and im my mothers youngest, her baby girl.
she is soooo crazed about this.

my fear was not getting accepted
her fear was me getting accepted

lmao. well i did so she has to deal. shes coming with me, and shes cried many times already and i still have 5 months haha.

just let him know its not forever and its a once and a lifetime thing. parents really do just want there kids to be happy. =]] goodluck.

I'll be applying for Fall 2010, too! Originally, the CP just didn't seem to fit into my plans because I'll be graduating in Spring 2010. But I've decided to go ahead and apply for that Fall anyway! :cool1: I lost count how many times I've been to WDW, but it's at least 30 (we had APs when I was younger and would take frequent weekend trips since we didn't live too far away). Best of luck!
