I was talking to a TA a couple days ago and she told me that Pearson airport in Toronto is now the most expensive airport in the world to use. It used to be Tokyo but now it's Toronto. Geesh, what an honour!! :sad2: So if you can use a different airport, it will probably be a cheaper.

True...however for my family, Pearson is perfect. It's close to our home, we know the airport and we have managed ticket prices that don't break the bank. Saying that, I'm not opposed to flying from Hamilton or Buffalo or driving. But Pearson has worked for us so far. Sandra

For vacations we always fly from Buffalo. Work it's always TO. Buffalo is so easy to use and with curbside check in it can't be beat.

Yep I read that too and that's why we will continue to fly via Buffalo! I refuse to pay the prices from Pearson! :furious:

Buffalo or Detroit for our family also!

And you are so right sean-1966, that curb side check in is fantastic!

A bit off topic but how does the Curbside check in work? We got the 1st flight of the day and had to wait 45 minutes for the counter to open to check in, was curbside check-in available at that time of day? wondering if we could have avoided that wait in line.

It might not have been open that early. As soon as you pull up you can check your bags and get your boarding pass. No dragging bags through the terminal.

We always fly out of Buffalo on the 7 a.m. flights (need that whole first day!) and we leave the hotel on the shuttle around 5:45.

The very nice men who take your bags were waiting for our bags as we got out of the shuttle. We did not even touch our bags after we left the hotel! The shuttle driver handed them right to the skycaps!

Our flight last month left at 7:25 AM and we were shuttled over from the hotel at 5:15 AM and the Sky Caps were already there to take our bags. We always give them a $5.00 tip too, as it's such a load off of us especially when it's sooooo early! :goodvibes

That is funnny cause I never saw them, must be because I was not looking for them, but it would have been better to let them handle the luggage.

I will have to keep my eye for them this time!

You just have to look for the Southwest sign that hangs down at curbside. :)

They are really hard to miss! Unless of course maybe you drive yourself to the airport.

The airport shuttle drops you off right in front of the SWA curbside check in counter.

Does anyone know if Detroit has the same service?

Maybe I lucked out and got it easy....but after being dropped of at BUF by my hotel shuttle bus,is was a 30 step walk to the Southwest desk...there was 2 people in front of me.....2 minutes later I was punching in my Conf # and the tags were taped onto the suitcase handles....and that was it.(there was actually a bigger line up at the curbside desk!). :goodvibes
