Hello everyone!

We've seen pictures of character interactions, but with our family's first trip around the corner, :cool1: I was wondering if you could provide me with ideas to get characters to interact with us. For example, I've heard with Captain Hook, you can ask him what time it is, or say "tick tock tick tock" and he'll freak out. I've seen the Mad Hatter with his "CAN I have your autograph". And I've heard you can scratch Pluto behind the ears.

What have you veterans out there done or said to get enhance your character interactions?

TIA! :flower3:

If you wear pins they like to look at those. If you don't have theirs sometimes they get "upset" and if you do they might act real proud. My DF had one of the Pluto cuties on and Pluto acted like a puppy because of it. Also Mickey did his sorceror's apprentice bit because of pins. I think they are a great way to get some unique interactions!

If you can cut and paste... make a homemade autograph book with charatcer pics on the pages... We always have ours and the characetrs LOVE a special page that's just for them!
I made ours with a simple small photograph/scrapbook, colored cardstock and clip art images or stickers. Simple and gets a lot of speial ineraction!

Chip and Dale are really funny!! You would joy being around them! Donald Duck is also good too! I am going to Disney World next month and I am going to go see how the evil step-sisters are like!!:yay: :cheer2:

Ask Woody in front of Buzz if Jesse is Woody's girlfriend. Then ask Buzz. (FYI Buzz likes Jesse, Woody doesn't)

Oh yeah? I didn't know that. I found that if you ask questions about them/ their movie so on that can strike up some neat conversations and interaction.

We are working on dd's autograph book...

And thanks for all the others ideas! We'll be wearing our character - appropriate pins :)

Keep the ideas coming, if you have them. Thanks!

Oh, and yes, Chip and Dale are funny... I've heard if you call one the wrong name he gets all upset...

When Alice saw our book with her (and all the other characters' pics in it she said, "AH! Books with pictures are the BEST kinds of books" (in a great English accent) just as she does in the movie.

Jasmine flipped through all the pages and when she saw Jafar's page, she said, "Ooooh, You don't really wnat to meet HIM, do you????

Aurora commented on how she was wearing her favorite dress in her pic.

Minnie pointed to her pic and then clutched her heart (as if to say, 'how sweet!' or whatever.

JoJo signed Goliath's page for him.

Many others commented. Pretty much all the CM's commented on how nice it is seeing persoinalized books.

I wanted to do this last trip, but we never ended up getting there. If you go into Ariel's grotto, ask her if she has anything to comb your hair :)

This thread has a ton of awesome ideas for character interaction.

I agree that if you wear pins of characters that you meet in the parks they'll give you attention. On my cruise Captain Hook noticed my Hook pin and went crazy . . . two days later when I saw him again, he pointed to my pins again! :)

I always thought that Jessie and Woody were brother and sister (the toy equivalent, I guess!). So asking Woody if he likes Jessie - no wonder he thinks it's ewwww!

I think Woody liked Bo Peep. :)

DH asked Minnie why hadn't Mickey proposed--she shrugged, then when he said, "He'd better not let you get away!", he got a big kiss from her! Of course, the next time we saw Mickey, my kids "tattled" and told him Minnie kissed their dad---hilarious! He shook his finger in DH's face, crossed his arms and stared, then finally put his fists up!

It's also fun to "bait" Chip and Dale. For instance, tell Chip that Dale can dance the best, etc. They'll go to huge extremes to prove they're the best!

Jessie and Woody are from the same TV show, but they are not related.

And yes, Woody does like Bo Peep.

Last Oct I ask Woody how many cows it took to make his boots. He stated counting on his fingers till he ran out of fingers. :lmao: Then he told me in his own way more fingers then he had:rotfl: We took acorns for Chip & Dale and gave them to them at the LTT. We told them during there break to have a snack from Ohio. We give the 1st acron to Chip he took it then he left then Dale came over looking for his snack. Chip told him we had it for him. And yes the character love seeing there pin on your lanyard. If you did that you would weigh about 50 lbs more then you do:rotfl2:

Personalised autograph books rock - I got loads of extra pixie dust from characters and I'm not a kid anymore :teeth: I enjoyed Flik's reaction the best - he flicked through the book looking at all the pictures and acting scared when he came across any villains :)

The step-sisters are hilarious! Lady Tremaine (sp? :confused3 ) wanted to have us look at her jewels. My friend had these shirts she was getting autographs on for her neices. Well, the tshirts had the princesses' pictures, and when the step-sisters saw Cinderella's picture they went off (cutting down Cindy). One of them even drew horns & a mustache on Cindy's pic! :rotfl2:

When DH & I saw Minnie & Mickey for the first time we were wearing anniversary pins. Minnie pointed at my pin and I said we're celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. She turned to Mickey and started wagging her finger at him (as if to say they're married what about us?) :rotfl: So Mickey grabbed Minnie and pushed her over towards DH and came over to me and grabbed my arm.

I told Pluto that I had the perfect girlfriend for him and showed him a picture of my puppy. He acted all excited. I also gave him a milkbone and said it was from her. He was all over me after that. And later we saw him again and he came over to me so I patted him on the nose (gently of course) and said "good boy". My friends were cracking up.

My DD (age 4) always thinks of a question to ask them. She loves to ask Belle for book recommendations. She asks Mulan about her ancestors. It's amazing the questions she comes up with and it always has a positive reaction from the characters and they spend time talking with her. She even asked Captain Jack where the Black Pearl was.
