Hey everyone. I have a project for language arts, and one of the requirements is to create an intellectual self portrait. One of the tasks is:
What are the distinctive things that make you "you?"
I am going to say that the most distinctive part of me is my personality. I would also like to list some of my noticable traits. This is where I need your help.

What are my noticable personality traits?
Thank you so much.

And to keep this thread going...
What makes you "you?"
How do you want people to see you?
How do you express your many different sides?
How can, or do, you reinvent yourself for various purposes or times in your life?
How are you changing from day to day, or year to year?
Who do you want to become?

Once again, I really appreciate the help.

Well Jaimie, from what I notice reasing your posts and such, I would say you're pretty outspoken and opinionated.
you seem to have your opinions and stick to your guns, not letting people sway your opinion.
you seem very funny & cute.
you are VERRRY nice and sympathetic as well.

that is what i have gathered from your Dis posts.
Hopefully that's relativley true to your personality.
good luck with your project! that's a pretty cool project!!

oh, and i guess i should do me...

I think what makes me ME is my passion and my emotion.
I am a very emotional person, and I wear that on my sleeve. Sometimes it's a burden, but tehre's nothing I like better than a good cry. I like being in touch with my emotions.
And I think I'm a very passionate person as well, I will loves something with passion or I'll hate it with passion.
I think my passion drives me and motivates me, and without that i'd just be...nothing.

I want people to see me as confident. I am a confident person, but I do have my down days, but I still try and appear confident.

As I said before, I wear my emotions on my sleeve, I express myself through tears or laughter. Im not ashamed to show my emotions or express how I'm feeling

I have reinvented myself so many times I can't keep track. I've been a punk-rock,black wearing chick, I've been a preppy happy-go-lucky kind of girl, I've been the queen bee, I've blended in with the crowd, I've been an activist, I
've been an admirer, I've been arm candy.
Right now I'm just...in a weird, very indie state, semi-hippie, semi-preppy.
I think ALL of that just adds up to me.
I'm sure at this time next year I'll be completely different.

On a daily basis I feel different about myslef, one day I will completely hate my boyd and think I'm the fattest person ever, the next day I will think my curves are the most beautiful thing in the world.
Some days I beat myself up, some days I an cocky.
I am constantly changing my opinions on myself and other people.

I want to become a happy person.
I want to become successful, and I never want to loose my passion.
I want to become a wife, I want to become a mother, I want to become an actress, I want to become wise.

And that is my intellecual self portrait. :hippie:

Thank you for the reply. :) Almost everything you said is true. I also knew that you'd be the first person to reply. lol

There are times where I feel like that as well. :upsidedow

Hm, Jaimie, I'd say that your most noticable trait is your way to relate to other peoples problems. And that really helps more than you think. Really.

What makes you "you?"
- I honestly don't know. What do you think?
How do you want people to see you?
- I would love people to see me as a level-headed person. One who is very compassionate.
How do you express your many different sides?
- Spazzy.
How can, or do, you reinvent yourself for various purposes or times in your life?
- Changing my views on life.
How are you changing from day to day, or year to year?
- I think I'm growing up.
Who do you want to become?
- I want to become a role-model. Not famous or anything, just a rolemodel to the people around me.

What makes you "you?"
gawd knows
How do you want people to see you?
not how they see me now
How do you express your many different sides?
different moods call for different sides
How can, or do, you reinvent yourself for various purposes or times in your life?
i have to be nicer:rolleyes:
How are you changing from day to day, or year to year?
i get more mature and more confident in myself
Who do you want to become?
successful and happy

What makes me "me"? Just me not caring what everyone else in the world thinks about me. I can be friends with anyone and I'm not afraid of messing up. I'm also not afraid of talking to anyone. I make people laugh, and I have a lot of friends because of that.

I want people to see me as someone they can talk to when they're in need, but also someone that they're not going to just step all over. I like being able to have sport talks with guys, and then (trying to, atleast) have a clothes talk with girls. I'm very plyable, and I hope people notice that.

Truth is, I really don't express myself. Something will be wrong and I just don't talk. I don't talk in regular life and I dont' talk about it. And then, I'll just burst. I'll start screaming at one of my friends that doesn't deserve it, or I"ll just start balling. It's bad sometimes, but that's how I handle it and it's fine with me.

When my friends just dumped me on the side of the road, I changed a lot. I've been more aware of what I'm feeling and how people are treating me. I've also been more honest, which isn't always good, but it's helped. I think i've been reinvented many times but without the past, I wouldn't be me either.

I don't really change from day to day. I might look a little different. but that's about it. I hate change, i really do, and so if I changed, my whole life would probably change too. From year to year, I just look different. I'm still almost the same person I was at the beginning of kindegarten, I mean not the same same, but you get what i'm saying. I think people respect me for that, too.

Who do I want to become? I want to become someone who is respected, loveable, caring, and not afraid to be loved back. So many people in this world today are afraid to be in love. It's not scary. It's a leap of faith. I Just wish that sometimes, people would realize that. And I want to be helpful towards people. I want to be able to help people understand the world of sports. That is pretty much why I want to be a sports announcer.

:upsidedow That's me.

What makes you "you?"
I'm not a particularly exciting person. My randomness, I guess.

How do you want people to see you?
I would like them to see me as happy, carefree and someone who likes to have fun. But really I don't really care what they think.

How do you express your many different sides?
Horribly.

How can, or do, you reinvent yourself for various purposes or times in your life?
I find different views on things, try new music, stuff that makes me think.

How are you changing from day to day, or year to year?
Day to day? I don't change too much, but my mood sure does. Every year, I seem to make more friends release myself from being shy.

Who do you want to become?
I want to be happy. I am happy now, but I probably won't be tomorrow. I want to be happy, where I wake up everyday and am motivated. I want to be married and completely in love. I want to find a job that won't bore me to death. And I'd like to figure out how algebra is ever going to be used in real life.

What makes you "you?"
What makes me, me, is that I'm me. It's just, I can't really say what's me. I know when to stop, I know when to start. I know how to make people laugh, I've made people cry, I'm me. It's just, sorta hard to see me...
How do you want people to see you?
Any way they really want to. I don't want to be seen as some horrendous person but I don't really care how people see me.
How do you express your many different sides?
I don't know, not too well, though.
How can, or do, you reinvent yourself for various purposes or times in your life?
What?
How are you changing from day to day, or year to year?
My grades, I don't really view myself as 'changing' though...
Who do you want to become?
A very successful person who has a good family.

I know. I bumped an old thread. I figured I'd share what I'm going to say with you guys, since you care ohsomuch.

What makes you "you?"
My personality. You'll never be able to find someone exactly like me. As obsessive, and as hyper. Plus, my personality's alwasy been there for me. It affects everything I do, from what song I'll listen to next, to what I want to do with my life when I'm older.
How do you want people to see you?
*Asks class how they already see me. And tell them to be completely honest.*
*Gets answers*
That's how I want them to see me. For who I am; not someone that's fake.
How do you express your many different sides?
Through music. Either the current song I'm listening to will change my mood and calm me down, or playing the piano helps me let off steam when I feel like the world is going to end.
How can, or do, you reinvent yourself for various purposes or times in your life?
I'm split-brained, so reinventing myself comes to me pretty easily. It's very simple for me to change whatever's neccessary to fit expectations.
How are you changing from day to day, or year to year?
I can't really say how I've changed from day to day; it's not something I notice at all.
From year to year, I become more aware. Of myself, and of the world around me. I've become more mature, mentally and physically. More importatnly, mentally.
Who do you want to become?
This question makes it sound like I want to become exactly like someone else. The truth is, I don't. I've been through enough where I've come to realize that being myself is the best option.

Wow Jaimie. That's really great.

It's true. That is you.

You described it perfectly. I hope everything turns out well on your project.

How do you want people to see you? they like to see my outgoing fun wild crazy side which i also prefer as well
How do you express your many different sides? i express myself through my close i wear the music i listen to, the music i play on my guitar, and my friends help me express who i am
How can, or do, you reinvent yourself for various purposes or times in your life? i always look to the good side of things so i can get back up again i believe that when one door closes another door opens
How are you changing from day to day, or year to year? im becoming more busy ever since i got my license it seems like i never have me time anymore i mean between work, school, church, colorguard, and family i feel like im changing everyday
Who do you want to become? i want to become a a journalist, then a wife, then a mother, and then a grandmother
