I hope everyone will give me their reviews. I am thinking about getting this for DD 14 she has very thick very long blond hair. If it doesn't work I would not want to fork out the $100. Also if you know if a place that sell NEW ones for less . TIA

My aunt recently gave one to my daughter. It didn't work for my aunt-who has mid length very straight hair. My daughter has shorter average hair. Didn't work for her either. Her friend has really long and really thick hair, didn't work for her either!

I haven't tried it yet, but I'm guessing its not the best thing out there.

I've had mine for a few years & wouldn't want to be without it! I have very thick, coarse hair a few inches past my shoulders and it does an amazing job. My DD23 has long, thick straight hair and it works pretty well to give her a little curl at the ends. It takes some time to get the hang of it but I think it's worth it!

Just bought one for myself and DD 17. I have very thick wavey hair and it does calm it down and give it a more finished look than the basic curling iron. But, I need to use a heat protecting spray and finishing product to make sure hair does not get damaged, the iron does get very hot. I bought ours on Ebay for $55 (free shipping)

My DD has straight thick hair and she liked it as well. I only like to spend about 10 min tops on my hair so that may be an issue as well.

I bought one and I didn't like it. It didn't have enough pressure when the brush was closed to make your hair as straight as it could be. Also- I didn't like that it spins one way, so it spun the right way (down) on the right side of my head but spun the wrong way (up) on the left. I have always used a chi iron. Probably the same price and well worth the money. Hope that helps.

You just switch the direction that you hold it so it spins right on both sides.

Op I love my instyler. All the girls here have thick, thick hair & it works perfectly.

I used my aunts last summer and I really liked it. It is very hot, and I think I'd need to use a product to protect if I used it daily.
