Instructions?

With the plastic sheeting and duct tape, are there specific instructions on how to do it properly? Seems to be an IMPORTANT detail they left out. Anyone??

I would think you would just cover the various openings in the room you are in with the sheeting, seal with tape. Any small carcks can be dealt with tape only. Sounds like a plan.

We have windows that are insulated and look like individual panes when they are really huge sheets of glass. The metal dividers are between the two layers. DH wonders why we need the plastic sheeting on the windows. He thinks since the glass has no cracks we could just seal around the edges of the frames with duct tape. Any thoughts on that?
