Installing SCAL on a new cricut-please help!

I'm having some problems with SCAL-I have been using it on my old cricut, and I just got the expression and it's not cutting anything from the new machine. I have updated the firmware, uninstalled and reinstalled the software, everything I could think of and it's still not working. Does anyone have any suggestions-I'm getting frustrated!
