Instacart users, when to place order?

How far in advance do you place your Instacart order for a Disney delivery?

We do ours no more than a week prior, usually a day or 2 before. I go through and put everything in the cart ahead of time so we know what we need to put to the side for groceries and then just go in and checkout when we're ready to order. The best part is, even after you place your order, and as long as they haven't started shopping, you can edit it. One time I forgot DD's toothpaste, realized it when I was unpacking and went into the app to add it to the order. That was around 8pm and our order was scheduled for delivery the next morning between 9-10am

I tend to set mine up in the app and put all the items in my cart. I hit send the minute before shutting down to take off on my flight. I land and I get my texts while waiting in line for MDE with any changes/substitutions that are needed. It's never not been at the resort waiting for me.

This sounds perfect but we're getting beer delivered so have to be present.

We usually have alcohol delivered and so we have to meet the delivery at the resort. I usually put the items in the cart a few days ahead of time, and then finalize the order while I'm in line for DME or riding to the resort.

Do you meet them at Bell Services?

Last time we put everything in the cart at home and checked out when we landed at MCO. We pretty much got to the resort at the same time as our stuff.

I get beer as well, and I texted my shopper the ID and it was all left for me at bell services.
.

Some guests have had luck with this but it's Instacart's policy for you to meet the driver, and Bell Services can refuse to accept the order as well. It's really best to plan on being there. Others have had orders refused, and there's no way to guarantee it won't happen.

On a side note, I wouldn't text a shopper my ID. I'm sure there's some vetting process for shoppers but that doesn't guarantee everyone in the business is honest, and now a stranger has your ID.

I imagine Garden Grocer has protocol for how to deal with IDs. Otherwise I doubt they could continue to do the business the so handling tons of orders. I didn’t think twice about it and would use them again.

Garden Grocer’s policy is not the same as Instacart’s.
