This is from the Disney website as being not permitted:

  • Selfie sticks, hand-held extension poles for cameras or mobile devices, flags and banners are not allowed in any theme park, water park or Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser.
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/en_CA/park-rules/

Since your item states 'selfie stick tripod' in it's title, it is not permitted.

Disney rules also state:

Tripods or monopod stands that cannot fit inside a standard backpack or that extend over 6’ (182 cm) are not allowed in theme parks, water parks, Disney Springs, Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser or ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

The item listed also clearly states it is a tripod as well.

Anyone can use a tripod and monopod as a selfie stick if they really are determined to do so.

So why ask if you’re just going to argue when you don’t like the answer you get?

Who said I was arguing...who said i didn't like the answer. I gave a different perspective to the answer. That's not called arguing, it's called having an adult intelligent conversation, back and forth. That's how conversations work.

You'd literally be putting the fate of that stick in the hands of the security guard who looks at it when you go to the parks. They're at their discretion to not allow anything that they don't like, regardless of if it's "within" the rules or not. If it looks too much like a selfie stick when they see it, they can say you're not allowed to bring it in.

To be honest, this post doesn't seem about a selfie stick, but more about how to find gear that would eventually circumvent Disney's rules.

1st part of your answer was helpful. thank you
2nd part of your answer was not helpful. you're right, the post was not about a selfie stick, it was about me buying a 360 camera and what accessories would be allowed and not allowed based on Disney's wording on their rules section. i don't mind investing money in a piece of gear, but i would like to know what Disney defines as a selfie stick (which i already know is not allowed) and a tripod/monopod (which i already know are allowed within the limitations is mentioned above). What happens when a piece of gear is both? what happens when a piece of gear falls in between both? That's what this post is about. It's not about how to circumvent any of their rules.

thank you
