Inspired to design...now what???

I have been lurking thru all the photo buckets and have seen some wonderful designs which have inspired me to try some of my own. Can anyone please share how to make the bubble letters with the characters in them? Or if there is a DISigner here willing to help me out I need names for:
girls-Kennedy, Kim
boy-David
