Does the commercial for HeadOn pain reliever drive anyone else crazy. It's without a doubt the most annoying commercial I've ever seen. What made them think that repeating the name of the product over & over was a good idea. My DH is convinced they're trying to give everyone a headache, so they'll need their product. :p After being subjected to the commercial, I'll never buy the stuff. If noone buys it, maybe the commercial will go poof. :wizard:

Never seen that commercial. The one I hate is the new Aleve commercial. No real interpreter would sign like that. Really. Her signing is so stilted and unnatural.

Brick, throw directly through the TV

Head On...Apply directly to the forehead!

Uh, okay, I heard you the first time!

I do this, too!! Any time I see a commercial that drives me as crazy as this one does, I purposely decide not to buy the product/go to the car dealership/etc...

:lmao: I said that exact thing when I saw it. I'm guessing if she was really a terp she was just beginning her career!! Nice to see the signing tho!!

As for the those asinine commercials....ugh! I would have to kill myself before i reached for that stuff.

Before that one there was another commercial that did the exact thing. It was for some sort of hemoriodal (?sp) cream. They said the something like the "one application cream" about 3 or 4 times!!

Really at the beginning like just in an ITP program. And if she keeps signing like that she will have problems for the rest of her career. But you're right. It is nice to see sign language on tv.
Saw the hemarroid one too. Obnoxious.

I'm convinced this "head-on" commercial is easily the cheapest television ad EVER made...in the history of television...the ad company ripped "Head-on" off.

The ones I can't stand are the Pepto-Bismol commercials

"Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea" and the grabbing of various body areas

Yuck!!

Just for your information, HEAD-On does NOT work. *chuckles* A friend of mine at school bought some and when i had a migraine, she said "Here try this" So i did. Sure I felt the "cool, warming sensation" of the camphor/Menthol, but no relief from the "medication" just the greasy residue on my temples and forehead. ICK.

it is a stupid STUPID commercial

As for the interpreter. I think they prolly told her to Dumb it down for those people who Might be familiar with sign, but can't read fast enough... just so they knew she was signing properly. :)

You know, as I was reading the weight loss thread AND this thread I thought MAYBE Head On would be something to mention to my friend who recently had gastric bypass (speaking of weight loss and headaches). She was telling me she can't swallow pills because they don't have time to digest. But since that stuff apparently doesn't work any better than putting a cool cloth on your head I won't say anything!

Have her try BC powder if she can tolerate Asprin. They work quickly, or if they're migraines, have her see her doctor about Imitrex injectibles, inhaleables or meltaways. Other pills also come this way. These are great for quick replacements for pill forms. I hope this info helps. I also hope the WLS works for her, but DAMN that's hard on a body. I've got a friend who went thru it and it's been Hell on her.

Way OT here, but anyway...

She was VERY, VERY heavy. She has had some complications and obviously getting used to the adaptations is very challenging. But she is so happy that she had the surgery! She has lost over 100 lbs. and her blood pressure and cholesterol are all within normal limits now. She says she has more energy and even with the complications she doesn't regret her decision. I adore her - she is the absolutely the most genuinely NICE person I know. I think the surgery will allow her to get more enjoyment out of life. I can't imagine what it would feel like to lose the equivalent of an entire PERSON worth of weight. She looks terrific and I think her weight loss will do wonders for her self-esteem. :thumbsup2
